Well, I used the old DC code to book our National reservation several months ago. I don't expect a problem, because at the time the system accepted it, and they should honor it.
If you try to make a reservation now, and it accepts it, just print out your confirmation page as a receipt for proof.
fyi...I check on a regular basis even though I have a great rate and I've noticed in the last few days that the 'old' contract number is now giving me NO discount!!! I kept only getting the $20. coupon.
I'm not surprised if this is a perminant thing but it was GREAT while it lasted. Time will tell if it's gone for good.
I do also have a reservation using the 'old' number with a great discount and I don't forsee any problems using it as it was valid when I plugged it in. The website took it so therefore they should honor it!
Actually, the discount is still there - they don't always list it out. I just put the numbers in for my week in June - while the base rate is higher than what I have reserved by about $11, the discount of 20% is still taken off for the Disney club.
Originally posted by beattyfamily Maybe it depends on when you are going then. I've always had it before and now my rate for Nov/Dec is over $200! with no mention anywhere of the 20%.
It's good to know, though, that it's still working for some!
Sometimes National is flaky. Often the discount is reflected in the base rate and the coupon is shown where it always is, other times, the discount and the coupon show, sometimes neither shows and when you look at the total, it looks flaky, cause they have applied both, not shown it and it reflects in the total.
Just a bit bizzare.
