I will be going to WDW Mar 26-Apr 2, 2002. Since it's during Easter I'm trying to get any little discount that I can. Regarding the DC, if I decide to use the 10% discount for the deluxe YC/BC should I buy the DC now? Do you get the code right away or does it take weeks to get the paperwork in the mail? Should I wait to see what the AP discount is going to be?

I remember some people getting their DC member number via email. You might want to ask about that. I would make your Easter reservations NOW. You may find no availability at this point. Of course, if AP Holder discounts are released for that time period, you will have to try to make a new reservation (through Central Reservations) for the discounted rate.

Good Luck!

Hi jdaa!

Yes, Kaa is correct, if your sign up for the Disney Club on-line, you will be e-mailed your member number and will be able to use it to make reservations before you get your card. And I DO think that you must have your member number in order to make a reservation to get a DC discount.
Hope that this helps! :)

You do need to have a DC member number to make a reservation that includes the DC discount. These discounts are limited and may be already gone for Easter week. Get you DC membership asap and call for a reservation. Keep trying if you don't get one - there are always cancellations. The DC will also get you some dining discounts at WDW as well as a discount at certain DD stores and the Disney stores.

You do not need an AP to make a reservation with the AP discount. If you are lucky enough to get an AP discount during Easter week, you can always buy the AP then. AP discounts are not usually announced more than a few months ahead of time. Don't wait to try for a DC discount until you hear about AP discounts. If you do, chances are very good that you will be paying the full rack rate for your room. You can always cancel the DC reservation if a better deal comes along. Make sure you understand the DC cancellation policy when you book.

I would also recommend that you keep an eye on www.mousesavers.com This site has helped many people obtain some very good discounts.

Good luck!
