Do you mean Boardwalk Villas (BWV)? For people who love the BW, the BW view is their first choice (except maybe the standard view to save points). Garden/Pool gives you Luna Park pool, the leisure pool or maybe a bit of the canal. BW view goes pretty quickly at eleven months out (they comprise about 20% of the villas). Pool/garden is about 60% of the villas.

Boardwalk view at BWV is the best view on site at WDW (and I have had BLT theme park view which is not even a close second unless you think parking lots are great views). If you can get it, request high floor. However, it is often difficult to get unless you can reserve with the owner's 11 month reservation window; the same applies to standard view. Nevertheless, 1BRs may be open when no other room size is. If you are looking right now for making a reservation for a 1BR and you are 7 months or less out and see a 1BR boardwalk view open, I would advise you to immediately go on-line and reserve because it could be compeltely gone at any moment.

I'm on the waiting list already for the boardwalk view.

Hey do you know where I can find a layout of the buildings to know where the one bedroom villas are and the views they have?

depends when your going. When and how long?

What does that 1D, SD, SL, 1L, etc etc stand for?
1D = 1 Bedroom, Dedicated
1L = 1 Bedroom, Lockoff

SD = Studio, Dedicated
SL = Studio, Lockoff

The dedicated rooms do not have a connecting door to another room. The lockoffs do. A 1BR Lockoff connects to a Studio Lockoff to create a 2BR Lockoff. Those two villas can be split up and rented as a 1BR and a Studio or joined together and rented as a 2BR villa. So you'll notice in those images showing the locations of the 1BRs and Studios at BWV, every "1L" is next to a "SL".

I've had garden/pool view twice and standard view once. Been on 1st floor 2 of the 3 times and loved that. Once was 1st floor overlooking driveway (standard view) but we could walk into hallway and straight out door to main pool...room 1085. The other time was garden/pool view and overlooking the quiet pool...room 1118(?). The third time (our 1st stay) we were garden/pool view and high up overlooking main pool and at end of long hallway. ...4020-4018(?). I just booked BW view for next Aug. I want to try that out and see which I like best. I am going to request higher floor.

Thanks Lisa.

I didn't realize that with a garden/pool view, it was just that - both. I thought it was either or, and wondered how to get the POOL view.

Still not sure which would be better - a pool view or a boardwalk view. I'm on the wait list for boardwalk, but if pool is in fact better for us, I would axe the waitlist on the boardwalk….
