DBF Birthday ideas

DBF will be turning 45 when we are at the parks in Sept. Any ideas?

When's his birthday? What parks are you going to be at? Is he a Disney Fanatic like the rest of us on here?

birthdate is Sept 13. We are going to ALL the parks.. (maybe even the water parks). Not a DISNEY 'nut' but enjoys the whole experience.

Hmm, if you're going to all parks, my best bet is to buy a set of Mickey Ears in MK and get his name embroidered on them, yes, you may think it's childish, but it's still something to remember the day by. Also, make a point that if you've made reservations at a sit-down restaurant that you tell them it's a birthday dinner that day, and see if there's anything they might be able to do no matter how over the top you want it or subtle you want it. Another thing, which I'm going to try on my birthday (Sept 5th) is when I go to Main Street or to the entrance to whatever park I'm in, I'm going to see if they can give me one of those "It's my birthday" stickers to wear, that way most of the cast members (I'm not sure on this, don't quote me) will wish a Happy Birthday. Anyone care to concur?

At Disneyland we get buttons and its always a little weird but fun to have all these people wishing you happy birthday. You can also get buttons for anniversary, just married, and first visit. I don't know if you guys have city hall on main street or if it serves the same purpose, but thats where we get ours.

I orignally thought it ment Dear Best Friend, but I don't think thats right since reading a post on the Family Board about someone and their DBF expecting their second child..... As for fun things to do for a birthday, I always recommend the Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island!

Lots of fun! It's where Scott and I spend our birthdays.

Definitely get the birthday button, every front desk and guest relations has them! It's fun to have everyone say "happy birthday" to you!

How about dinner at a signature restaurant? Or a fireworks cruise? How much is in your budget?

I think a birthday button is in order and a nice romantic dinner. However, if you don't have ADRs already, you may be SOL. Same goes for any fireworks cruises. They book up the day they open.

For the poster questioning DBF, it can be Dear, Darling, Damn, etc. Personally, I think Disney BF is a bit odd, considering that DBF, DD, DS, etc have been around a lot longer than the DIS. Unless you really have a Disney BF, maybe you also have a Universal BF? Or a Shopping BF? J/K, it can be what ever you want it to be!
