Daytona Beach Hotels

We are planning to drive to our WDW vacation next month and thought we might like to stop the night before in Daytona Beach on our way into Orlando. Anyone have any good recommendations for an oceanfront hotel/resort that is very nice but under $200 a night? There are a couple I have read about: The Shores Resort or The Plaza. Any thoughts?

We like the Oceans towers. I'm not sure how much they are running right now though, pretty $$$ I'm sure. Last time we were there a hurricane had been through and there was a lot of damage to the area. I think that's why we got such low rates.

Is this property in Daytona Beach? The reason I ask is that when I Googled it I am coming up with many places with the word Towers in the name. Thanks for your help so far!

We stayed at the Plaza last June for a week. I really liked it. The room was on the small side, but beautifully renovated and had a mini fridge, microwave and sink. The bathroom was tiny, though. Housekeeping was excellent and the service throughout the hotel was very good! We had a balcony room that had an oceanview (not oceanfront) and it was a beautiful view up the beach. I would easily stay there again.
