Dayton Beach Hotel Questions

Staying in Dis for 9 nights and thinking of swinging over to Dayton for 1 night on the way home. Any advice on nice hotels right on the beach? Will the water be cold in Feb. ? THANKS

Depends on what mean by "nice" hotel.Most of the hotels/motels are mom and pop businesses, some better than others.As far as the Atlantic being cold.....yes.

Dayton is in Ohio.

My husband's family (including DH, I and our kids) have stayed at Perry's Ocean Edge. His mom and dad have been staying there for over 25 years (and they go twice a year).

We stay at the Castillo da sol in Ormand Beach, the Hilton is also in Daytona.

If you stay on the beach north of International Speedway Blvd, you will be fine. South of ISB is not so good! The Hilton is great (stayed there for our honeymoon) and there are several newly redone hotels there. Just remember.... stay to the north end!

Just moved here and we stayed at Castillo Del Sol. Very nice. We got a great rate by just calling and speaking to them. Research on the computer first and then call and see what they will offer!

Just reread your post, Feb could get expensive here depending on the days with Nascar and Bike Week!
