I feel like we were left on a Friday cliffhanger....
Can't wait to hear more.
LOL...be careful what you wish to hear more of...........
So, I'm back, SO frickin' glad I went, it was like a once in a lifetime thrill for me. The group I met up with, I guess about 40 + other gals was incredible. We all took to each other and had a blast. My two roomies were so nice and two other gals waited at Burbank Airport for me to arrive so we could travel over to our hotel together. I arrived on Friday afternoon.
I did not attend the James Reynolds Celeb basketball game, and wish I had, but wasn't sure I'd arrive on time. By seeing pics and talking to those that went, it was awesome and SN made an appearance! MBE was out of town til Sunday morning.
Friday evening we all walked up the street to a place called Jerry's which is a popular place on Ventura Blvd. When we walked in, I saw a table with 4 people and I kept looking at the woman, thinking she was Patrika Darbo, but just not sure, and didn't want to stare, so I went on over to our group. I just have to say that we got very little sleep the whole weekend. We all spent a lot of outside around the pool gabbing..it was VERY chilly in LA for this time of year and I had not brought a jacket, long sleeves or nothing, so I went into my room after a bit. The others got in trouble for being too loud....which is a hoot......so they too went in.
Saturday morning was Martha's MS Charity Event. I had been recruited to be a helper, so little ole me was thrilled to get a "staff" necklace to wear...LOL. we were all seated, eating breakfast when Martha walked in. What an absolute cutie she is. She is very pleasant and does this stuff as her mom has MS. Then the others rolled in, Brandon Beemer, Kyle Brandt, Jay K Johnson, Patrika Darbo, Darin Brooks, Rachel Melvin and Blake Berris. Willow was a no show, she is making a movie (whatever) and Farah Fath was a no-show (another lame excuse for not showing up to a commitment). Bryan Datillo was not there at first either. They all were so stinkin cute and the stories at Q & A portion hilarious. I have to say JKJ is HOT..taller than I thought. Brandon, not much on personalty but gorgeous eyes, Rachel & Blake a hoot...Patrika, well, she needs to tone it down a notch...she likes being front and center I believe, but very personable. Kyle Brandt said he would call Bryan on his cell to see where he was, it was funny, he put him on speaker phone...guess he had a hangover from the night before and was running late. He finally showed up, and is quite the comedian and likes being goofy I think. He is smaller than I thought he would be. I was a little disappointed in him, he was one the guests that was advertised as a draw, and he did not stay for the photo/autograph part of the event. He did show at Drake's event I was told. I think if you commit, hangover or not, you should be there for those fans that paid...JMHO Then the new guys came in Trevor & Marcus (to answer a question from someplace, no he does not play Chad on Passions)and can I just say these two guys are HOT to look at...muscles and looks to match...woohoo...Marcus has a British accent, very sexy! and also Joy Brisco (Gabby) stopped in, with her boyfriend, who plays Vincent on Passions (don't know his real name). She really is quite cute and petite. Darin is HOT...tall, dark and the brownest eyes. I was assigned to help his autograph line keep moving, so we chatted, he put his arm through mine and I took lots of pictures of people with him. He is so nice and honestly, a looker! Made my day to hang with him. Spoke to Trevor, as he wasn't getting a lot of attention as a newbie, nice young man too. Hopefully the acting will improve for them. He did tell us he is going to be a naughty one for bit. They had an auction and raised lots for MS. All the stuff was too rich for me, so I just enjoyed watching others go at it. A tour set of Days for 4 people went for $6500. Martha was thrilled to say the least.
Sunday was the BIGGIE for me. We arrived and waited patiently. We looked out the hallway door and there they were....MBE is much more petite in the flesh and she is gorgeous. Stephen is also quite thin and looked amazing. They both hopped on stage for the Q & A part, and you can see the love between them as old friends and the love they have for their fans. Very genuine people, no attitudes, no LOOK AT ME I'm a star, just very nice people. They did raffle prizes and made that whole thing fun...Mary Beth wanting to look at the soap magazines they were raffling off, she kept saying "oh, I was pregnant then...look how fat I was" and lots of little anecdotes that were really cute and fun. They were very funny and play off each other so well.
They finally went over to a table for autographs and photos. They were so nice to everyone and stayed well over an extra hour or so to accomodate everyone there. I was like in a trance when I went up to them. Shook both their hands and introduced myself. I said what a thrill it was to meet him and MB told me pull my chair over close to Stephen and have a seat. We chatted back and forth and I was still like I was in a dream and it wasn't real...LOL...
Mary Beth also brought hot out of the oven samples of her apple pie to serve. They even posed in a photo with all our group. I just can't say how much fun the whole thing was.
Here is a link to some photos, these are NOT mine, I'm still vacationing and not home to download the ones I took, but my group has no problem with sharing the photos they took....

It is something I've never done, hope to do it again it was SO much fun. Those that went to Drake's event were privy to meeting EJ..{{thud}}, Lexie, Tony and Anna plus a few from Martha's event showed up. Oh Peggy McKay was around at all the events for a few minutes, what a gracious lady.
I'll think of more later, but this should bore you all for awhile.
