I don't know if this has been asked before, but What is with Kate and the black polish on the fingernails?? It would be one thing if all her nails were painted that way, but usually it is just one or two nails! I noticed it again when she had her hands on Stefano's face the other day.

Is there some kind of meaning that I am not getting???

LOL, I have been trying to figure this out myself for quite sometime. I have seen other boards bring it up too. No one has a real answer for it. It is so weird too, because it's out of "character" for Kate and her look.

The rumor that I have heard regarding her nails is that it's a tribute to David Bowie. But probably wrong.

I too thought that Phillip and Mimi did sign something for Lauren to abort the fetus. But then Bonnie stepped in and paid her off to keep it. I wonder how this is gonna work out.

Yes, Lauren was supposed to terminate the pregnancy but didn't when Bonnie started paying her to have the baby. I guess with Bonnie in jail she is now looking to get money from Phillip. But still, they got no proof she terminated the pregnancy so I don't know why he wouldn't think of that.

I'd also like to know what hospital has a lab where just anyone can go to blow up a photograph.

ETA: Phillip is pretty stupid if the thought hasn't even crossed his mind that this could be the surrogate who was pregnant with his and Mimi's baby.

I think it is adorable that they are calling him Pocket! It's just cute!!

I fly pretty often and I've never seen both pilots walking around the plane while it's in flight! In fact, when the pilot has to use the bathroom, they block the entrance the front area with a cart so no one goes near the door when it opens. I guess Jeremy and Jett's plane has a new version of automatic pilot!

Pocket is an adorable baby.......did you know that "he" is played by twin girls? So his career as a little boy will be short.....

Also, Ed Scott who has directed Y&R for years is now working for DOOL. He is very well respected and hopefully will bring this show up to par. My board that I follow, is saying he is working, and we will start to see his input come September. I'm hoping for good things. I also heard they may pare down the cast, so that should also be interesting.

Stephen Nichols does a blog on the TVGuide website, and his newest one is about Ed Scott starting work on the show, he is very enthusiastic about Ed. Said he made good changes right off the bat. If you care to read it, here is a link.......

I don't think I've ever seen two people "doing stuff" more than Sami and Lucas. They were caught, what, 3 times by 2 different nurses. That's all you ever see them doing!!

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but just saw "I want to be a soap star" and they are picking contestants for DOL instead of I think General Hospital. They have Mary Beth (Kayla) as a judge and most of the guest are from DOL.

So we'll get to see the winner on the show eventually.

Our dumb cable doesn't give us Soapnet, so I'm missing it I've picked up bits and pieces of the first episode online, but nothing that shows the complete show.........it should be good with Sheffer & Mary Beth as judges...and nice they are going with a soap that is not affiliated with ABC

Ok, so I watched the first episode of "I want to be a soap star" and I think I'm going to love it!!! I can't wait to see the contestants in scenes with the people who play Roman, Belle, Abe, Lucas and others!!!

It comes on Tuesday night's on SoapNet, but they replay the episodes during the week (not sure when). It's a lot of fun!!

Hi everyone. I'm glad I found this thread!

I've been watching Days since I was about 10, on and off (I'm now 34), and got back into daily watching around when Sami was going to get lethal injection for killing... wait, who was it she supposedly killed? I don't remember!

Anyway, I mostly just read the recaps these days, but catch it on SoapNet when I can. Am I the only way who wants Sami and EJ together? I know, the rape thing -- but that always seems to get glossed over on soaps (didn't Luke rape Laura on GH?). I love Lucas, and it's nice to see them sorta happy... but there's definitely a chemistry between Sami and EJ. Ultimately, I would love for Brandon love: ) to come back and be with her, but... barring that, a Sami and EJ pairing would be great.

I'm bored to tears with Belle and Shawn. Honestly, I think I'd be a lot more interested if it was the old Belle and Shawn... but I just can't get into these actors. It's nothing against them personally. I just feel like I'm not really watching Belle and Shawn, you know?

And speaking of not getting into the actors -- the whole Chelsea/Stephanie/Jett/Jeremy etc. storyline doesn't interest me at all. I love Max, but the rest of them are so blah. I liked Mimi and Max together -- good chemistry there, too.

The Santo and Colleen storyline is good. I'm enjoying it. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. Great to have Stefano and Tony (and Andre) back, but I wish they'd killed off Rolf instead of Bart. At least Bart was amusing.

I'm sure I've said things that have been said already in this thread. Just wanted to join in and vent

DOOL has been so boring lately! I use to eagerly wait for episodes with Belle and Shawn but can't tand it anymore. If it was the old Shawn then maybe but this one just isn't making the chemistry or fittingt he part. Besdies, why don't they move into te loft? Belle was given it from Bradey who was given it from his dad, so she owns it. But then the writers seem to know less than us viewers. lol.
