Days of Our Lives Watchers Part Two....

I haven't watched any of this week's episodes. They are all taped though. But I'm wondering if I even want to continue watching the show. It just doesn't seem to be keeping my interest lately. I've been watching it for 25-30 yrs but I think I might be getting burnt out.

How 'bout you? Have you ever thought of not watching anymore? Do you think I"ll regret it?

I think about it all the time and complain too but it is like a habit I watch. Mind you I usually watch it after it records so I can ff .

I know that was going to happen when Carrie said lets use the carpet that was so thin what help would it be. They weren't killing off the characters so they had to have a way out but the writers try to make us think they blow up.....right. More dumb is them hiding out in the bushes until the fire trucks and people are gone. Where are the investigators , and for a big log house to burn they would be there a long time to put the fire out....just dumb. Oh yeah and Roman and Shane standing outside the door waiting or a bomb to go off and they didn't have a bump or scratch on them after. I knew it is not reality but give us some credit....

I've been watching since 1982, and I'm pretty much where you are. It seems strange to not be watching it anymore, but the episodes record every day, and I find myself just deleting them.

Though I must admit - I'm a little curious about Shane's return.... I used to love him.

I actually watched today for the first time in a week, and I agree completely. I just kept thinking, "Did she really just say that?"

I'm going to pay attention to when Lexi's last day is though, because I have a feeling that her final episode will be a touching one for me. I hate that they're killing her off though. When I was a kid, my mom's friends would always go on about how gorgeous Hope was, and I would always chime in with how much prettier I thought Lexi was. I can't explain it, but I've always loved her character, even though they never did enough with her.

I just think they didn't write well for her, now I wish Abe was the one going. He really doesn't do much for the show even if he has been on the show for so long.

I think it is dumb to say E.J isn't Stephano since they did that whole Santo storyline and saying he looked like Stephano's father. These writers are rewriting history again.

And who didn't see Lucas breaking up with his fiance from Hong Kong. Guess there will be another Lucas/Sami/ E.J triangle again. And if Sami is running a big company why is she wandering around at Horton Square, the coffee place and the pub.

I was thinking the exact same thing. What about E.J. looking exactly like Santo? I suppose the writers assume we've forgotten all about that. If E.J. does end up being John's son, he will still be a DiMera, since John & Stefano had the same dad. Maybe that's how they'll explain E.J. looking like Santo.

The thought of them hooking up Billie & Daniel is sort of creepy. "Hey, I'll go out with this guy who my daughter was in love with, and who my mom slept with!" Great idea.

Please somebody kill off Gabi?!?

I've looked into my crystal ball and am making the following predictions.

Carrie will find herself pregnant with Austins baby and will go off into the sunset with him back to Switzerland.

Nicole will tell EJ the baby is his and they will find out that EJ is John's son.

Oh please I hope my crystal ball is wrong about this, but Abe and Celeste will get together after the death of Lexie. ICK!

We will find out that Agent Harmon is really in the pay of Ian who is responsible for the bomb going off. Stefano will be framed for the murder of the Salem 6, but will get off because, of course they are not really dead.

Daytime Emmy were annouced and I don't think Days was nominated for anything. Which is really sad, because I think James Scott is an awesome actor

I thought I was saw on The Talk the other day, where Julie Chen was announcing nominees and Days was in there. Not 100% though.

You know, I have to admit that James Scott is really good at what he does. He, as well as Days always seems to get snubbed at the Daytime Emmy Awards. I'm surprised anyone was nominated this year, but there aren't many shows left nowadays.

Well that is just weird. Crystal Chappel hasn't been on for quite a while now. Matthew Ashford hasn't had a storyline since those few shows about his experience in Afganistan.

I think EJ or Will should get a nomination instead. But what do we know? We're just the people who watch.

I thought the same thing about Crystal Chappel. It's been well over a year since she was last on, hasn't it?

Yes I think so. Her story line was, in a word, DUMB.

Ugh, they completely ruined Carly's character and Vivian's the last time they were on. I don't really understand Jack's (Matthew Ashford's) nomination either. He's a great actor when they use him properly (which has been years), but he's barely been on at all since he's returned.
