Days Inn or Super 8?

Hi, going on a Spring Break Birthday/Senior Trip with three friends. We will be going March 11-14, Monday through Thursday. Staying in our budget and amenities required, we have narrowed it down to two hotels. We can either stay at the Days Inn Anaheim Maingate on Harbor, a 1.2 mile walk from the park, for $196 for three nights, or we can stay at the Super8-Anaheim Park 1.1 Miles North of the park on Disneyland Drive for $205. The perk to the Super 8 is that it is about a five to ten minute walk to the trams, and we could ride those to and from the Parks.

My questions:
Would you recommend either?
How are the breakfasts at both?

I haven't stayed at either of those hotels, but I have read many good reviews about the Super 8. People say it is clean and the staff is nice. I don't think the breakfast is fancy, but other people have been happy with it. They say that they would gladly return to the Super 8 again.
We often stay across the street at the Sheraton Anaheim and walk all the way into the parks (it's rare if we take the trams). If everyone in your group is healthy, walking is a good option. If the tram lines are long or if you are feeling impatient, you can walk. (Follow Disneyland Dr. south - on the east side of the street - until you see the sign for DtD and the parks; turn left; follow the path until it ends at the tram stop.) Last weekend it took us about 20 minutes from the Ball Rd. and Disneyland Dr. intersection to the gates.

I have stayed at Super 8 on Disneyland Drive and would definitely go back. The breakfast is not fancy (muffins, pastries, juice, milk, coffee, tea). But something is better than nothing.

My BFF stayed at that Super 8, she liked it fine, staff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was basic but fine, they walked to the trams and rode those in. She did say that at night it was a harder walk because their feet hurt but it was doable.

We have stayed at the super 8 twice and will probably be staying there next time as well. We have a 2 year old and she walked to the park so it is doable for sure, 12 minutes there 16 home We find it to be a great hotel for the price!!!

Not sure what Super 8 is "Anaheim Park"... however, I've stayed at the Katella Super 8 twice, and it's fine. Some rooms are updated, some are not. Staff is friendly (sometimes very friendly, which makes getting things done take f.o.r.e.v.e.r., like when it's 9pm and all you want to do is check in and get your kid into the room and to bed, or when you're due to catch your bus in 10 minutes a LONG block away, and it's time to check out, and they wanted to make sure your stay was good, what they could improve, etc)... We're sock-wear-ers, and we've never thought "Ewww gross" when walking around in the room (ie, no black-bottom socks afterwards). They do run out of hot water quickly in the morning... Evening showers were nice and hot, but morning showers were lukewarm.

It was a quick (10-15 min) walk up Katella, right on Harbor, to get up to the pedestrian entrance.

We stayed at the Days Inn in May, and found it to be all right...the biggest bonus is that the ART shuttle stops RIGHT IN FRONT of the hotel! And that route was never busy, lots of seats on the shuttle You'll have a great time no matter which hotel you pick!

You might also want to check out the Del Sol Inn. It often has low rates as well, and it is a very close walk.
