has anyone stayed here? good/bad experiences? i just reserved this hotel for one night, since it was one of the cheaper ones i could find close to disney, but i was wondering if anyone has any insight on this hotel?

I stayed here twice (not the suites- but the Days Inn right next to the Suites at Old Town). First time was in 2002-- got a great rate of $19.99 shortly after 9/11. Even got a pool view room. I was genuinely suprised. The hotel room was basic- but clean and pretty modern. I was very happy with it. This was a no frills hotel. We didn't have ratty bedding, rust anywhere, the carpets were clean, and no mold/mildew. Then we went back for a rate of $29.99 in 2003. Got a back corner parking lot room right near the laundry room. Needless to say it was the last trip. The workers all hung around back here to smoke and such. The room was defintely very worn and old looking. It was like night and day. I asked to be switched but was told the hotel was full (which it looked full). The customer service here was nil to none both times and that bothered me alittle.

So, I've had one good and one bad expierence.

I heard it was crappy :smokin: Check it out and let me know because it is a great rate!

There are other, better options for a budget hotel close to disney. Try Quality Inn Maingate West. Very close, especially to the Sherberth Rd back entrance of disney. Rooms were clean, quiet, nothing fancy and it included a free continental brkfst buffet. Another option that will cost a little more is the Best Western Lakeside (formerlly LaQuinta Lakeside). I've stayed in both and would do it again. I've also stayed in Days Inn but I wouldn't do it again.

Stayed there once and I will never stay there again it was dirty. Stayed in the suites and pulled down the murphy bed I think its called and the maid never vaccummed behind it there were used sunflower seeds all over the floor. Juice stains on the counter in the kitchen and thats all I can remember about it right now.

Stayed there in 1994 while I was in college we got 10 plus people in one room!

Now that brings back memories  :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :hourglass not sure :hourglass time sure passes by quickly! :lmao:

TSM- that is the suites part you are talking about. They are 2 different hotels.

hi
I agree with bonnie the quality inn maingate west is a good basic hotel, I stayed there about 3 years ago and I really enjoyed it, the staff were great and the rooms were always cleaned, we saved alot of money by getting the free breakfast which include, toast, muffins, cereals, pasteries, tea , coffee and the list went on

I stayed there about 4 years ago, it was very noisy and not very clean, there are many more hotels to choose from. :moped:
