Days bookable @ 11 months

We're considering DVC but need to understand what you can book at the 11 month window. Specifically, if you want to book a 2BR or GV at home resort for one week, do you need to have enough current UY points or can it include a combination of banked/borrowed points. If you have a second home resort, can those be used at 11 months to secure days or do you need to wait until 7 months and hope you can add on?

Out plan is to use DVC for spring break and want to ensure we can book 7 consecutive days.

You can use a combination of bank and borrowed home resort points for the home resort you are looking to book at the 11 month window. You cannot use points from another home resort in combination with the home resort your are trying to book at the 11 month mark as those points are only valid at the 7 month mark on non-home resorts.

So if all my points are my home resort and I want to book Oct. 1 2011-Oct.10 2011, can I book it all Nov 1 2010 or do I need to call each day and add 1 more day in order to secure. I would assume if I called Nov 10 2010 I would be able to book the whole trip, but what if it was during a time I was worried I want to get a specific room type?

You would only be able to book the first seven nights at Nov 1. You could add the next night on Nov 2 and the last on Nov 3 (for a nine night stay). Or you could wait until Nov 3 and book them all.
