I'd like to get opinions on at sea days on the 7-day Eastern. We went on a 4-night Wonder cruise last year, and at the last minute they added Freeport on the day we were supposed to be at sea. Although we stayed on board that day and just enjoyed the pool, we didn't really get to experience a day "at sea".

Anyway, so we're booked on our first Magic cruise, and it's Eastern. With 3 days at sea, is there enough to do to fill the time? And on the same token, is everything going to be miserably over-crowded since everyone will be on board?

Your opinions and experiences would be appreciated!
Thanks!

The swimming areas will be busy, but there are other things to do.

On our last trip, we had a family brunch, watched some movies, play some table tennis, golf putting shuffleboard, build and race vegetable race cars, towel folding demos, listen to some music relaxed, bingo etc...etc..etc...

You may have to wait at some activites, but most you do not, and this was the spring break cruise, full cruise...

Hope this helps

The sea days are the best IMO... Never seemed to be enough time to do things.

The only area that was crowded was the kids pool. We just found chairs on deck 10 & our kids went down to swim/slide. We just watched them from deck 10 & it was not crowded up there.

The family pool was less crowded, but still had many people in it & around it.

Enjoy!!!

We LOVE days at sea....and there's way more to do than there are hours in the day. Relax and enjoy!

Thanks so much for your comments. I'm not sure why it concerns me. We never once noticed crowd problems on the Wonder. It seems Disney has crowd control down to an art form. But since three of the days are at sea on the Eastern, I wanted to make sure these days would still be enjoyable. But how could any part of a Disney cruise NOT be enjoyable? The Wonder was the first cruise we had ever taken, and it's the BEST, most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. (despite the car accident we had on our way home afterwards...but that's another post...lol)

But again, thanks! We're counting the days to the MAGIC!!!! :Pinkbounc

Sea days are my favorite, sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. However, I have several activities which I look forward to on sea days.....Bingo, Rainforest, Movies, Wine Tasting, Shuffleboard!, Adult Pool Games. I still haven't done the Navigation series or Entertainment series but maybe this year!

Sea days are my absolute favorites! One of the reasons I love having a veranda. You can usually find us on sea days out there reading. The comfy lounges on deck 4 are really nice to, but I leave for those that don't have a veranda. The Mickey pool can get crazy and the Goofy pool as well. We don't have kids so that isn't a problem for us.

We do some of the behind the scenes thing and have also taken in a movie.

Enjoy your sea days!

Do any of these activities cost anything or get filled up?

Which ones did you like?

Thanks

Photobear, the only things that cost I think are the Stem to Stern Wine Tasting ($12.00) and the beer tasting ($8.00). That alcohol is expensive. The other stuff is included.

I agree with the others, the days at sea are what I'm looking forward to on my next cruise. They are the BEST! We are planning another cruise because we didn't even scratch the surface of the things we could do. So we have to go AGAIN. Oh shucks.

My first cruise was a 3 day cruise. It was over before I knew it. I have been on one Eastern Caribbean cruise and I am looking forward to my next one in August.

The fact that we left on a Saturday afternoon and didn't get to our first port of call until Tuesday was really great (the 3 day cruise would have been over at this point).

You could spend weeks on the Magic and still not see it all so I can't imagine not having enough to do.

Although we didn't spend a lot of time at the pools we didn't feel anything was overcrowded.

Have a great time,

Jeff

We did the wine tasting, it wasn't filled up.
We watched movies (nothing like watching Pirates Of the Caribbean in rough seas!!)
And the Disney Trivia contest we went to, there were only 3 other families there.
My wife and I live for the days at sea, they are the best, most relaxing part of the cruise. No hurrying to get to a tour, or back on the ship, no 6:30am meeting with immigration.
We always consider the ship to be a destination too.
