I'll be on the Dream's Halloween cruise and just discovered that we "fall back" on November 1st. Has anyone been on a cruise where this happened before? Do the bars and like stay open later?

Time changes typically occur when "everyone" is in bed. So it won't switch until something like 2am (making it 1am).

And you may want to check out any of your port stops to see when they adjust for daylight savings time. I sailed in March one year and in the US, day light savings time wasn't until the end of the month but on many of the islands (we sailed for 2 weeks), it had already happened. It made figuring out local time for excursions a little tricky.

Sailed on the 'fall back" day in 2013. None of the clubs or bars were still open at 2am, so closing times were not affected.

I sailed on one where the USA clocks changed back, they swapped us first night out of Port Canaveral.

We were on the Magic for the daylight savings change that occurred on Nov 2, 2014. Instead of turning the clocks back an hour on Saturday night, they changed the ship time a day early on Friday night. I am not sure of the exact reason but they joked that it was so we could have an extra hour at Castaway Cay (on Saturday). I suspect it was so that it didn't mess anything up on disembarkation morning (Sunday morning) if people forgot to change their clocks.
