JUST A REMINDER TO EVERYONE!!! :thumbsup2

You know the old saying: spring forward, fall back. It helps us to remember how Daylight Saving Time affects our clocks twice each year.

During Daylight Saving Time, which begins in the spring, clocks are turned forward an hour, shifting an hour of light from the morning to the evening. When Daylight Saving Time ends in the fall, clocks are set back an hour and Standard Time resumes.

According to the present schedule—determined by the Energy Policy Act of 2005—the United States springs forward at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March, and falls back at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November.

United States 2011 Daylight Saving Time Schedule: In the United States, Daylight Saving Time will begin on Sunday, March 13 and revert to Standard Time on Sunday, November 6. Time changes in the United States take place at 2:00 a.m. local time.

Yay!! I can't wait. I wish it stayed Daylight Savings Time year 'round. :sunny:

It used to be later, but George W. Bush changed that when he was in office.

I am SO excited to have the sun stay out one hour later each day. :dance3:

This is when it's a bad time to collect Mickey Mouse watches......got a heckuva lot of watch-setting to do this weekend! (not to mention the Mickey Mouse clocks)

I'ts been such a long, dark winter, I'm cool with anything that brings a little more light!:)

I am probably the only person in the world who doesn't like "spring forward"... one hour less on the weekend. I always liked "fall back" better.

You're not alone one bit! I hate losing an hour of sleep, and I much prefer when it gets darker earlier!

I hate losing an hour but do like it staying light later.

OP, thanks for posting this, I completely forgot.

I hate it. Just when it's getting light out when I wake up and leave for work, all of a sudden it's dark again. No fun waking up to that.

I really, really hate the change. I leave for work before 7:00 a.m. For the last couple of weeks, there's finally been a bit of light on the way to work. Now we go back to having to try to locate the high school kids walking by on the sidewalk to get to the bus stop in the dark as I'm trying to leave the driveway. It's light when I get home now.

I have discovered that the only time I don't complain about it is when we have a vacation planned for the end of that week. We're off to WDW on Friday so losing that hour brings me one hour closer to vacation. DH says from now on we're ALWAYS going away at this time so he doesn't have to listen to me moan and groan about it. ;)

I agree! I love the days where it is light out until after 8pm! I dn't care about going to work in the dark-thats fine with me but let it stay light out to enjoy the time AFTER work!
Of course we have a late night party tonight and then have to be up at dawn for a girl scout thing tomorrow so looks like a 5 hour sleep night for me and my daughter!
