Daycare rules?

I did "day care" as in I watched my niece. I charged my sister a very reasonable rate of $40/day. I provided all food.

oofa, sorry but my first thought was dang thats alot to charge a sister/neice...for $200/week I hope you were doing lots of activities with your neice that one would expect from a regular daycare....

Yes your sister would have learned the hard way that at a regular daycare you pay if you are there or not, but maybe thats why she was thinking it would be different with family?

Granted I pay $245/week for a great daycare, but my son has dance class, music class and karate, gym time, library time and playground time on nice days...and no tv time...

wanted to treat the whole thing like a business arrangement & try to keep the family/friend thing out of it. I was her daycare provider & she was my client.

Sorry my bad....your sister was in the wrong if you made this clear to her. then yes she was taking advantage...

I guess this is why others have posted they wont watch for family/friends...hard to make that distinction clear.
