Firstly... A massive SORRY! I know through googling and adding DISboards to it, that this has been covered in the past, but I can't find anything recent or specific!

When we went to Paris in January, we were advised to get the Mobilis ticket. I'm 100% sure we got it discounted due to being youths, and I'm 99% sure it was Mobilis as it certainly didn't come with any added discounts.

I'm taking my beautiful nieces in 12 days (EEEEEK! So excited!) and as it's their first time in Paris, I'd like to take them into the city for the day. Their parents aren't too keen on doing anything else but go up the Eiffel Tower, so that's pretty much our plan!

Which is the cheapest way of doing this? Was it the Mobilis ticket I got? If so, if I could get a youth rate, does this mean there is a child rate? I can't find this information anywhere!

Please help!

When we've gone into Paris for the day we've found the cheapest way was to buy a carnet of 10 tickets (there's 5 of us) as we didn't plan on using public transport there - the first time we used a hop-on hop-off bus tour and the second time everything we planned on seeing we were able to walk to. If you think you'll only be seeing the Eiffel Tower then coming back again buying individual tickets may be the best option for you also?

The Mobilis gives you a lot more freedom because it means you can use the metro and buses all day but I don't know whether there are child prices. I've got this link up here which immediately tries to push the Paris Visite card (!) but I'm afraid I've got to go off to work so haven't got time to investigate further.

we did it last sunday, just a mobilis ticket it is €14 you can use it to paris and back and within paris.
A one way ticket to paris €7.
If you want to do eiffeltour get your tickets online, we where there on sunday morning 9.15 and the waitingline for tickets was already 1.5 hours.
