We were planning to go to the World a little more towards the end of the month but DH got an unexpected day off and we already had our passes so we thought why not go now?? So as soon as my daughter left for her dads we headed up..stayed at the Super 8 on 192..not bad for $20.00 got up around 7 wed morning went down and had our breakfast <old cinnamon rolls and some kind of danish> and checked out..we didn't realize we were only about 10 minutes from the park so we got there about 7:45 <park opened at 9> we got a really great parking spot though to make up for having to wait :) we were in the second row with a straight shot to the sidewalk...i got a picture of the castle while we were waiting for the gates to open..the haze burned off by about 8:30 or so and i don't think the temp got as high as it was supposed to..we got to ride up front on the second monorail of the day <DH didn't know about being able to do this> got into the park and went straight to the Emporium to get our bride and groom ears..then headed over to SM saw there was already a 35 minute wait so we grabbed a FP and walked on COP with no wait..then went to TTA I don't remember doing either of these when I was a kid..we went over to see what the wait for Buzz was..5 minutes can't beat that it ended up not even being that long after leaving Buzz we still had about a 1/2 hour untill our FP for SM while wondering what to do we noticed the wait time was down to 15 minutes so we scraped the FPs and got in line, again the wait time was exaggerated we were on within 5 minutes..Timekeeper was closed so didn't get to do that so we were done..we started to make our way over to Splash Mountain going passed Philharmagic I noticed a 15 minute wait I explained to DH this was a MUST DO..there were only a few people inside but as soon as we walked in they started pilling in behind us..we both LOVED it...we went over to HM which again had a 15 minute wait posted but it was nowhere near that at this point we figured we were doing way better than we expected to I wanted to do JC which had a 45 minute wait um nope we can do it next time..there wasn't alot left that we wanted to do here so we didn't bother with the FP..we wandered around a little and saw the Genie and Jafar then we discovered DOLE WHIPS!! which I would never had known about if it wasn't for this board YUM! DH even loved it,after having our snack we headed for Splash Mountain again finally and wondered why there was no water!!??? and noticed a huge crane right above the top of the ride ok so much for that the area around BTMR looked packed and we figured everyone wanting to go on Splash went there instead so didn't go over there..we left the park around 12:30 to head over to MGM we had done the major things in MK that we wanted to do we got to the bus just as it pulled up whew...I have been dying to go on RNR since the first time i saw it and it had almost a 2 hour wait :earseek: we checked the board up front and saw today it was 35 minutes..ok we go to get FPs so we can knock out a couple of other things while we waited..no need to the wait was 5 minutes!!! there was NO line..The only thing DH really wanted to do was ST so we headed over that way..25 minute wait..grabbed a FP and went over to Muppets by the time we got out it was our FP for tours..then DH mentions that we haven't really eaten today..what?? we are at Disney we don't need to eat!! <sigh> ok the original plan was to go over to Beaches or Pepper Market but we just couldn't bring ourselves to leave the park <we had vouchers and wanted to use at least one> we ended up eating at Rosie's we couldn't find anything big enough to split at ABC or CR and I wasn't real hungry we found the double cheeseburger at Rosies and split that and the fries and cake..still managed to save a few dollars and even more than if we would have each gotten burgers and fries because I wouldn't have finished mine..the burger was pretty good the chocolate cake was a little stale though...we finished up our lunch and went to the animation tour it was kind of sad seeing the empty desks and knowing not too long ago there were people working there...we didn't stay for the drawing lesson it wasn't starting for awhile and DH really wasn't all that interested..we decided to head back over to the MK around 4:30 to browse around and kill time before Wishes..we took the train around and noticed Splash appeared to be back up and running,,we decided to skip it and rode the train to toontown which we had skipped earlier we got around to the castle about 15 minutes before the show and got a spot front row center..I thought for a minute they had called off the show because there was hardly anyone around although that changed pretty soon.we got alot of pictures here the blue fairy ,Cindy and the Prince ,Mickey ,Snow White ,Beauty and the Beast ,Chip,Dale and Goofy ,Cindy and friends ,Peter Pan and Hook ,Mickey,Minnie,Pluto ,The End. We left the show and ended up at the Hall of Presidents Dh said he would like to go and we had time before getting our spot for Wishes when we finished up there we walked over to the Tommorowland path and got a spot on the railing right around tinks wire about 20 minutes before and were suprised there was only one other person there..it ended up not being very crowded there and we had a great view I took some pictures of the castle while we were waiting and another when they turned all the lights out..we sat for about 15 minutes in front of the bakery wondering where in the world did all these people come from??? it didn't seem like there were that many here :earseek: we caught the resort monorail since it was considerably shorter than the TTC line <DH didn't know about this either he kept asking if i was SURE this would go there too> and we started our 3 hour ride home...
