Day trip from Paris

Family of 5 will be in Paris in late July and we are going to go to DLP for a day trip. What is the best transportation that will get us there at or before opening and leave at closing? We want to get a full day in. And what is the best way to get tickets?

We went to DLP as a day trip from Paris a couple of years ago. We caught a RER train from Paris directly to DLP. I believe the first train leaves Gare de Lyon at 5:30am and last return is around 12:30am. We were not trying to get there by opening but were pretty near to arriving at that time. We asked at our hotel for directions and I believe they sold tickets at the hotel as well.

The best way is to take the RER line A from the centre of Paris to Marne La Vallee, Parc Disneyland. The train station is right at the entrance to the Disneyland Park. The last train in the summer months left just after midnight, which was after park closing (we would leave at around 11:30 after Dreams had finished.) It is really easy to do, have a fun trip.

As said you need to take the RER line A. There are several stops within central Paris. If you let us know where you are staying we can help you work out the nearest station and metro connections if needed between Hotel and RER station

RER A train from Paris to Disney is perfect: fast, regular time table, cheap, comfortable...

If you don't know which metro/RER stop is closest to your hotel, I suggest you check via the map option on booking.com , they have the metro/RER stops on their map. After that, you can cross check with the metro map (link above).

RER A runs 5am tot midnight or something like that. You can click on a metro/RER-line in map in the link above and see the time table for that line (it's all in French, but you'll be fine )

Regarding tickets: I've found it easiest to get tickets @ Walt Disney Studios, not the Disneyland Park: no queue versus huge queues. But booking on line in advance may be a cheaper option.
