So I just got back from Paris, and from a day trip to Disneyland ;)

Without any further ado, here are the highs and lows from my visit:

Highs:
- The weather: it was a lovely, warm, sunny glorious day! I thinks that this just adds a little bit more magic to the parks, right?

- (Lack of) Crowds: Not there many people in the parks, I thought! We managed to ride nearly EVERY ride in both park. Appart from the closed rides, and "baby rides" like the storybook train and flying carpets, we rode everything and some more than once (3 times in RnR and Space Mountain, twice on Big Thunder Mountain). We watched the Parade, Dreams, and even queued for pictures with Mickey. So yeah, it was a lovely day, and even though I was afraid of feeling sad when leaving (who doesnt?) I really felt that I had done everything I wanted and my Disney cravings were fully relieved...For a while, at least :p

- Dreams: I cried. All through the 20 minutes of it. It was trully, trully beautiful

- Birthday Sticker: Everyone was so nice to me during the day, wishing me happy birthday! The CM that I spoke to at City Hall gave me 2 stickers (one to wear that day, and other to bring home to keep), and even got a Mickey badge for my little cousin, who also felt very special. Oh, and Gepeto came to me during the parade and clapped for me too!

- My little cousin: She's only 10 and never been to Disney before, so I was really scared that she wouldnt want to ride any of the big thrills, wich are my favourite... But she loved them! And we found that we have the same favourite: Rock and Roller Coaster!

Lows:

- The lack of new merchandising. I mean, I had not been to DLRP since 2011 and most of the items in stores were the same. What a shame.

- Water fountains didnt work. Any of the 4 I tried. We had to fill our water bottles in the bathroom.

- Many restaurants were closed, wich made me really sad since I REALLY wanted to try the chicken strips at Hakuna Matata

Overall, it was a great day. This goes to show that with a little bit of planning, and a handfull of luck, one day is enough to make the most of the Disney Experience.

Now, off to gain some courage to write a trip report!

Welcome home! Wow! Sounds like you squeezed loads in! Belated happy birthday!

Sounds like a great trip! fantastic to have good weather and small crowds

Fantastic idea for a day trip, glad you got everything done that you wanted. Look forward go your tr :)

Agree about water fountains, we tried more and none worked.
Shame about Hakuna matata. We were there twice this week.

Welcome back, glad you enjoyed your trip

that's strange as we ate at Hakuna Matata on Tuesday the 1st, maybe we went at different times

Oh, I tried to go there around 6pm :confused3

I found most of the restaurants closed by that time, which was a shame really because its the time mos people have dinner...

Counter service places such as Hakuna Matata tens to shut early off season :(

It's my favourite place to eat and I am totally devastated for you!!!!
