Monday, June 4, arrived. Our group is now complete with all 15 members and most of us head to MK for ee morning. We meet at the SoG bus at 6:50 to catch the 7 am bus, and we are all on time (13 of us). My strategy in planning this was to tell other members that we (hubby, DGD, and I) were leaving on the 7am bus, if they wanted to join us great, but if not that's okay too. This time everyone joined in except our injured SiL and oldest DD. They decided to sleep in and rest his shoulder as he overdid at Test track the day before.

The kids really enjoyed MK. We did the Dumbo ride first, others went straight to Alien Encounter and Big Thunder Roller Coaster (or was it Splash Mountain?), then the autobahn cars, teacups (twice), Buzz Lightyear, and It's a small world (call me sick, but I NEED this ride to really be in Disney), and then met up for our PS for breakfast. Four of us went to Cindy's and the rest went to Pooh's at Crystal Palace. Again the character interaction and food was good. My brother and the Neal family couldn't believe the choices. The Neals kept kicking themselves that they had blown off the character meals on their first trip to WDW two years ago. As we had one of the last seatings for breakfast we closed the buffet down. The group at Cindy's finished earlier and glided right in to join us and compare breakfasts. The Cindy's group thought we had better food at Crystals (they didn't eat again but were just meeting up for last 10 minutes or so) but they did enjoy the Princesses.

After breakfast we went to the jungle cruise, and the pirates of the carribean. We also had a dole whip ice cream, which was really great!!! Then the park was so crowded we left for a break. This was around 1pm.

The biggest disappointment in MK was Ariel's grove with the squirting water fountains was not working. This was a surprise as Epcot had squirting water play areas. Also the park seemed a little drab, but maybe it was just me. This was the first time I felt this way about MK. Again the kids had a great time.

After a swim and nap at SoG, we went to Chef Mickeys for dinner at 5pm. Again this was a big bash with the whole group. At all our group meals the CM's were really great. We always had so much fun it was like a big party. Maybe two buffets were to much for this day, but they were spaced at 10:30 am and 5 pm. Again the food was great and we partied with Mickey. Then most of us went to Epcot to enjoy the evening, five of our group between 20 and 28 went to try out Disney Quest.

At Epcot, I took the three (4,4, and 6) children to Innovations while the rest (including the 8 year old) went to try Test Track. We spent at least 90 minutes in the one building playing on all the childrens games. At 7:40 the rest of our group found me and the children. The children were having such a good time they stayed awhile and hubby and I split to see Tapestry of Nations parade outside of Mexico. This was one thing I really wanted to do as I had missed it last year. I cannot even begin to describe the feelings this parade envokes. It was beautiful!! Then it was time for Illuminations and back to the hotel for a late swim!!!

So far everyone is still having a great time. The younger adults loved Disney Quest and went back at least 2 more times during our trip. We are all tired but happy. And the Neals (our friends with 2 children) can't believe how much they missed on their first trip two years ago!!!

I just copied this from another post. Maybe this combined with the wall on main street is why I felt a little off on MK

"I did note that Carrousel of progress was only open from 10 to 5, Hall of Presidents was only open from 10 to 6, Timekeeper was closed and there was no character greeting area in its place like I had heard earlier, Main Street bake shop and the Ice Cream Parlor were closed, El Pirita Y El Perico counter service was closed and a couple of the stands in Fantasyland were closed. "

Thanks for posting...I really like IASW also and do it at least twice while there!! Looking forward to the next one!! :)

Thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to the other posts.
