Day Seven (A Long but MAGICAL Day) May 27, 2004

Cast of Characters:
Me: MAGICinMYHEART/Beckie
Niece1: Katie
Niece2: Sydney

Up and off to the Magic Kingdom’s EMH after a quick breakfast at Concierge. We arrived at the dock before the first large boat to the MK was even in sight not even at Ft. Wilderness yet. There were about twenty people waiting though.
There was a small blue flag boat waiting so I walked over and asked the Skipper if she was going to the Contemporary Resort nope Ft Wilderness…I said “Thanks anyway.” She said if no one here is going to Ft. Wilderness I’ll be glad to take you over to the CR, so we waited a few minutes and no one walked over. She said “Welcome aboard” and we were off, still no sign of the first boat to the MK.

The boat ride took about four minutes and we started out on our adventure walking to the MK now we weren’t in a hurry and we took our time, it still didn’t take more then 10 minutes to arrive at the front gates. We were though security and the turnstiles standing just in front of the tunnel that goes to Main Street when I noticed the WL boat dockings. A few minutes before the park opened.

This is not something I would do all the time, but we have visited WDW so many times I like to do things a little different when possible, the younger ones always enjoy new adventures.

Straight back to Fantasyland were our first ride was Dumbo no wait, followed by Winnie the Pooh no wait, Mad Tea Party waited two min. Peter Pan’s Flight 5 min. wait, PhilharMagic no wait walked right into the second staging room. I grabbed some Fastpasses for later this is one attraction that everyone always says “let’s do that again.” The girls were no exception. Onward to Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel no wait they were boarding when we walked by camera in hand. Snow White’s Scary Adventures walked up through roped area then boarded. Fantasyland done and its only 9:10am.

On to Liberty Square first stop my favorite The Haunted Mansion We waited about 10 minutes while standing outside the front door we caught Madame Leota watching us, Katie saw her open her eyes first, Sydney didn’t believe her then she looked right at Sydney. The doors opened and we were ushered in…after the ride we found the wedding ring. Around to Frontierland and just in time to get new FP for The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad the wait was posted 30 minutes but I knew this just wasn’t true the line was almost to the start out front with a full line inside wrapping around both sides of the building) FP in hand we went to Adventureland and rode Pirates of the Caribbean 5 min wait. Then on to Aladdin 15 min wait, small detour time to use our first FP before the time expired. We cut though to Fantasyland for our second visit to PhilharMagic (I find that if you use the FP it will work out better with your other park touring if you wait until you can get your second FP before using the first also always grab a FP before lunch so you will have a one ready to use afterward) the second visit was enjoyed by all.

We then headed for Big Thunder Mountain. Great ride but neither of the girls wanted to ride without me, nor together so all three of us were in one seat., a little crowded and I was worried that I was going to crush them both we all survived. We were planning on taking WDW Railroad around to Mickey’s Toontown but the station was closed in Toontown so we rode it around to Main Street we saw Lady and Tramps paw prints outside Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. Visited Town Square Exposition Hall and checked out all the cool area's for photo's, then listened in over the party line telephone in the Candy Store.

Cut though to Tomorrowland and got another FP for Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin…then waited in the stand-by line about 15 min to ride, we rode Carousel of Progress really was surprised that the girls loved this ride so much and sang the song until we arrived home Saturday. We rode The WEDway People Mover opps!!! Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

I had made a PS for Cinderella’s Royal Table for 12:45pm. but it was a few minutes past noon and both girls were hungry we walked over to the Castle to see if we could move the time up a little. There was a large crowd around the check-in podium so I thought we were going to have to keep our original time. The CM asked is there anyone here that has a PS I raised my hand and said, “I do.” Twenty heads turned and started at me…the CM took my name, I told her we were early she said that’s ok please go in and wait at the top of the stairs…no wait at all.

When we entered the Great Hall there was one other family there and guess who else..::yes:: Cinderella and Aurora snapped a few photo’s after the girls talked to each of the Princess then upstairs for our feast.

Our table wasn’t right next to the window overlooking Fantasyland but we still had a great view along with great food. The girls both ordered: Blossom’s Chicken Strips-served with corn , mashed potatoes and a drink. I had: The Mariner-grilled salmon with applewood bacon and sweet potato chips. Lunch took just over an hour so it was now time for Buzz using our FP we had maybe a five minute wait…the park was now so crowded and I noticed many melt-downs with small children the girls wanted to ride TTA again, so we went to ride but a CM said they were having problems and the ride would reopen around 3:00pm. It was around 1:30pm and we had seen all the attractions we wanted so the girls suggested we return to the resort for ???? SWIM TIME.

Headed for the dock and boat ride back to Wilderness Lodge

This is were I got reprimanded by another guest waiting for the same boat…This is also were I meet a fellow DIS’er BostonAnnual I will admit I may have been wrong but this is what happened…We walked up to the dock which has a canopy cover about half way down, then there are benches and then a roped area where the line starts. We first stopped because there where already guest setting on the benches but this left us standing in the direct heat not under the cover, these people where just setting there but weren’t setting in the sun they had the shade of the cover, which I have also done many times before. I took the girls and walked through the area to the far end of the dock where a line had already been started…kind of single file but this area is also covered out of the sun. The lady that had walked up behind us had followed and we were just standing there in line. This man stands up and walks over to were the line starts and yells “Excuse me ladies can’t you see we are waiting in line for the same boat you are?” Hello, I said, “While I did think you were waiting on the boat that docks here, I didn’t see you in line that starts over here where we are, and not over there were you are setting on a bench which is not in line.” “If you where setting outside of Space Mountain should I stop and inquire if you are in line to ride the attraction?” I was hot and a little tired I then said "Why should we stand in the heat while you are just setting on a bench.”

The other lady said she thought we had done nothing wrong and we started talking she then saw my Dis Keychain attached to my backpack and introduced herself as a fellow DIS'er. This was so cool to meet a fellow DIS’er just out of the clear blue sky.

We talked until the boat arrived, I will report that everyone waiting on the boat boarded and had a seat.

After a quick boat ride we arrived Home, went to our room, cut the air down and just chilled it was about 2:10pm. The girls went to swim and I got a cool soda and watched but only for an hour. Then back to the room for showers and fresh cloths to visit EPCOT and dinner.

I drove to The BoardWalk and parked in valet parking, then we caught the boat to EPCOT. The girls started a mask at the KIDSCOT Station at UK we toured around World Showcase visiting each Station and the girls loved each and every stop. We had a 7:00pm PS at Restaurant Akershus @ Norway I got FP for Maelstrom and we check-in for our dinner. OK I love to eat at Akershus but I can’t recommend it for children neither girl really eat much and I felt I should have chosen somewhere they would have enjoyed more. The service was good but the hot dishes we ordered took way to long and we sat there over 30 minutes waiting, once the food arrived it was very good but the wait had dampened my spirits. After we had paid another long wait, we used our FP for Maelstrom visited the KIDSCOT Station then on to Mexico and Canada Mask completed around 8:30pm
