I was wondering if anyone has had luck lately with getting a day room at the Atlantis Resort while in Nassau? If so what was the rate that you paid?

In Jan. we went over to the Atlantis and they wanted $200 for a day room plus tax. There was 10 of us so they said we needed two rooms .... $500 was t.o pricey for us and we went back to the ship and had a great time.

I would also like to know if anyone else has had any sucess at getting a day room at Atlantis and what you pay for it. It has to be a better deal than the Days inn

Better not to look for what does not exist ... day rooms at Atlantis.

Book the Comfort Suites (there's no Day's Inn on Paradise Island) for one "night". Right next door and much much cheaper (around $130-150 / night when you add taxes, etc.). You can do it online.

You get a voucher which is good for charging meals, etc. all over Atlantis and includes the right to wrist bands and towels. It's valid as soon as you arrive/check in.

Enjoy Atlantis all day then go to your room shower and freshen up, check out and head back to the ship.

Not a bad deal for a family considering it would be difficult to "exhaust" Atlantis in a day.

Atlantis, by the way, is very jealous of its "upscale" status and you won't find walk-up "deals" no matter how hard you try.

We have 2 rooms booked at the Comfort Suites for our 3/30/03 cruise, $139.00 + taxes. The Atlantis was well over $200 per room. Both hotels will only issue you 4 wrist bands per room. One of our families has 3 children, but the youngest is only 2. We have called the Atlantis and Comfort Suites and have been assured by both that the youngest does not need a wrist band because he is too young to be able to use the slides. I will report back following our trip to let everyone know how it works out.

Strictly speaking there is no real hard and fast limit to the number of arm bands per room at Atlantis or Comfort Suites. They both book 5 and more to a room for legitimate stays and should issue everyone who needs one - ALL legitimate guests - with armbands.

Sometimes one runs into a "power-hungry" attendant or someone who just doesn't know. Rather than argue, take whatever they'll give you and then go to another of the cabanas and ask for the rest that you're entitled to. There are 6 or 8 cabanas scattered all over the property.

In the past we've been assured by Atlantis management that this shouldn't happen, but we've seen guest rooms at Comfort Suites with two (paying) rollaways get 6 bands, no questions asked on day one, and a big argument on day two.

FWIW ...
