Day one of our first DVC trip

I had to say Thank You! for all the advice I have received on this forum as we started our journey to join DVC. We finished day one of our first trip as members and I'm blown away. We checked into BLT- lake view studio and were shocked as we walked on to the balcony. Pretty darn close to the highest floor possibly and a view of the lake to the right and an amazing castle view to the left. We spent yesterday at MK from 9a-12:30p and then swam/relaxed at the pool for several hours. My original plan was to head back to a park for the evening but I realized I'll be back many more times and can just go with the flow. After a family vote we decided to stay poolside then head to Top Of The World Lounge. It was an awesome day.

It is an awesome resort. You lucked out with one of the lake views that also gives you magic kingdom.

Love bay lake tower. My favorite spot is the little beach beyond the hot tub.

Awesome. I'd love to hear how the rest of your visit was. In just a few weeks we will also be staying at WDW for the first time as DVC members and will be planning on not playing park commando as well with a nice dinner at V&A QVR, Cirque du Soleil, and a KTTK tour.

That's the great thing about DVC. Slow down and enjoy the resorts and parks. We still rope drop, but we're out of the parks by noon for lunch,
a swim or boat ride, or just a power nap before you head out for dinner and an enjoyable evening or late night in the parks.

Awesome beans on the room please keep us posted my first trip to a DVC resort will be BLT in December my family cant wait . We have a lake view also hope were lucky and get a view of MK also .

Yes, please keep us posted on the rest of your stay. This makes me feel so happy, I love DVC and love it when others do also. We like to walk over to the marina and rent a pontoon boat; it is so much fun! And also think about taking the boat over to the campgrounds and go to Trail's End for lunch or dinner. Its good and fun!
