On June 1 most of us arrived. The cast included my DH (50), myself (49), 3 DD (20 to 28), 2 DSiL (20 and 24), 1 DGD (6), 2 Friends for life (30ish) and children (son 8 and daughter 4). Later, Sunday nite, my Brother and wife (30ish) and their son (4) joined us. We had 5 rooms at Shades of Green. The hotel was great!

As I said on Friday, June 1 most of us arrived. We went to Wal-mart to prepare for the big trip and picked up water, juice, soda and snacks. Then we picked up latecomers at the airport. By 6 pm we were all settled in at SoG and were having our first group meal at O'Hanas. It was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better start. The CMs were attentive, the food delicious, and the children loved the games. We stayed almost 2 hours have a great time. It definately set the tone for our vacation that continued for the entire ten days!!

After all our planning, saving, and preparation we were at Disney World!!!! We were psyched!!!

On June 2, most of us went to Sea World. We arrived at 9 am to get the scope of the park. First off we made reservations at Bimini's for a sit down lunch. This was the only disappointing meal we had in Florida. I would not recommend it. Atmosphere okay, sandwiches and salads ok, but stay away from the Mahi-Mahi. Dried and tasteless. This day started great. We loved the seal and otter show and the whale show. We petted dolphins, fed seals (and the birds), fed and petted stingrays. By 2 pm we were tired and decided to go back to the hotel and swim. We planned to go back to SeaWorld that evening to see some more shows and the fireworks. However....

Around 3:30 pm we were all having a great time in the pool. Zach (friend's 8 year old) discovered having two young men age 20 and 24 to pal around with was great!!! We were all splashing and having a great time until DD's husband Marwan (24) pulled his shoulder out of the socket. It was really painful and he held it together really well at the pool so he wouldn't scare the kids. The ambulance arrived and we spent 5 hours at the Celebration Hospital. We got great care! The main problem was finding a drug store open to filll his prescription. While everyone was at the hospital, our friend's family went to Cirque du Soliel and my DGD and I played on the monorail and checked out the Contemp and Polly. We also checked out the lizards gators at SoG.

At 9:30 pm we were all having a late diner at Kona Cafe. Again everyone was great and Tower of Chocalate Cake is to die for. So we prepared for Sunday. We were all relieved to get care for Marwan and psych about tomorrow, what would be our first day at Epcot and MK.

What a way to start a trip! I hope he feels better quickly so he can enjoy the trip too. I've heard great things about the Celebration hospital..Hope I never get first hand experience though!

him not screaming.......my husband did that to his elbow and broke it too and he was in a wee bit of pain......thanks for letting us know about the good hospital care you got.......

Yikes!! What a painful way to begin a trip. I know if that was me I wouldn't have been able to hide my pain. What a trooper!! Looking forward to the rest...

bump to keep reports togeter!!:)

When we were there in December, my DD got a temperature of 104 and we had to take her to Celebration Hospital as well and we got excellent care there!! They were all terrific! My DD ended up having a double ear infection!

Sorry to hear about your friend, but it sounds like you are having a wonderful time so far! Thanks for posting! :)

Too bad about the injury, but it sounds like a good start to a trip other than that. I'd like to take a large group to WDW some day. Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful blessing to have so many loved ones together sharing such a great time! except for the shoulder incident, but it sounds like it was taken care of in the best possible way. I'm sure the trip just gets better and better!
