Day of event P&P tickets?

We'd really like to attend the P&P party during our upcoming trip. We're going in February, though, and the weather can be dicey. If it's raining (coupled with the cold) we'd probably skip it. So I don't want to invest in the tickets now because I know they don't give reign checks.

Can we walk up to the ticket counter and buy tickets on the eve of the event? Any thoughts here would be appreciated.

I beleive you can unless its sold out. They only sell a pre-determined number of tickets for the event.

We are planning on buying our tickets ahead of time. They are around $10 pp cheaper if you buy before Dec 15th. I am in Feb and don't want to miss out on the chance.

not sure if the same rules apply like for the MSSSHP, but we bought our halloween tickets the day of at our hotel and still got them at discount price.
