What do you think.....possible to get a same-day ADR for dinner at Boma in mid-November?

Don't want to necessarily make a reservation at 180 days out (Nov 2015, btw) because it would be on our arrival day and I just don't want to deal with the possible stress of "what if our flight changes" and whatnot. But we're staying at AKL and planning a mid-morning or early afternoon arrival. So I thought...what if I wait until we're actually on the ground and then book an ADR for a relaxing dinner that evening?

Do you think we'd have a shot at that? It's not the end of the world if not, but I'm in pre-pre-pre-pre-planning mode and thought it would work out nicely if it's a decent possibility....

(Obsessed much? Why yes, yes I am. LOL)

You probably haven't gotten any responses because there's no way of knowing how busy Boma will be the day you arrive. We've been there when it was very busy and we had a long wait with a reservation and other times we were seated almost immediately. When you arrive at the airport you can check to see what is available for that evening. You could also check Jiko which is one of our favorites and Sanaa. If nothing is available there's always Mara, the QS at AKL. It has Zebra Domes which I think is a great way to start a trip. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I kind of figured that was the case - nobody knows! LOL I've been playing around in MDE the last few days, just checking in the afternoon to see if there are any dinner times available and usually there's at least one option. So I'll do what you suggested - check when we land and take it from there. It's not anything we're really stressing about, we just thought it'd be nice to enjoy a sit-down meal to start our vacation. We'll just stick with the 'play it by ear' plan and see what happens! (Thanks for the response though...sometimes it's just nice to know you're heard! :goodvibes )
