I didn't realise that (I was only aware of same sex relationship connotations
). Obviously, I would have been more careful about what I put had I a) not posted it here and b) realised the alternative interpretations of the word 
However, I would like to say (in my defence) that if I popped over to the US planning board and pointed out that the word 'fanny' means something else entirely in the UK every time a conversation on bum bags was started, I would spend most of my time doing it. I accept that they do not mean 'fanny' in the UK sense and that's good enough for me. Hopefully, anyone who sees this post from the other side of the water will know that no offence was meant and I am, of course, referring to cigarettes
