Paula and Lois tried the new "My Disney Girl perfectly Princess Tea Party" at the GF today - here is their report :
We had been so looking forward to this. Lois and I met up with MickeyMac and her DD, Joanne and Ahnalira (sp? sorry!) in the foyer at the GF. All the girls were giggly and excited, all dressed up and looking very pretty (so were the kids! ) We were given a card with a table number on, we had been sat together as requested by MM. The girls were presented with a little crown upon entering. They had a placecard to show them where to sit. Waiting on their seat was the Princess Aurora Disney Doll, complete with her own little crown and wand......We 'slightly older Princesses' want one too! The girls were told to put their napkins on their laps and inside was their little silver bead bracelet (not real silver ~ sorry!) There is a storyteller named 'Rose Petal' I think?! Who tells the story of Sleeping Beauty. She is SOOOOOOOO fantastic, she sings, dances, gets the kids to join in with her. I wanna take her home for DD's birthday party next week! The lady on the keyboard accompanying her (please help me out with her name MM or Joanne?) was also excellent. They took requests for Princess songs.
Our tea was served on a Royal Albert china tea service with a samll version for the Princesses. Even the dolls had a matching tiny plastic version too.....awwwww.......I wanna be 6 again The girls got PB & J heart shape sandwiches and cheese and ham pitta swirls. We had assorted mini sandwiches and cheese and crackers. I don't think anyone ate much, we were too busy watching the entertainment and clicking our cameras! There was a beautiful big cake decorated with the Princesses, which was cut and served to us. I won't tell you what Joanne did with the Tea cosy ~ I promised I wouldn't ~ but photos will be posted as soon as I get home
Princess Aurora was announced and in she came in her pink velvet gown.....so beautiful all the little Princesses were really excited. She walked the girls in a little parade round the room while Rose Petal sang. One by one, the girls were visited by Aurora at their tables. She had plenty of time with each child. All too soon, it was time to go. It's so hard to describe all the details of what happened but i'm sure MickeyMac will post a report too, so hopefully she will remember more than me (I was too excited and busy Clicking/videoing )
Anyway, we were told to go up to the gift shop where each girl collected a certificate for her Doll and a little scrap book kit to do their own report! MickeyMac asked about it being continued and we were encouraged to write down our thoughts about the event. The more people that ask for it the more likely it is to become a permanent thing, but for now, there are no other dates planned except for the ones they already published.
As soon as I get back to the UK, I will post the photos on webshots. They take waaayyyyy to long to download on this connection!
