Today was Animal Kingdom day. This is the boys favorite park, so they were excited to be going! We took the bus and got there around 10 AM. We went straight to the back of the park and got FastPasses for the Safari ride. It was due in about 30 minutes, so we did the Gorilla Falls Expedition Trail. The kids loved the little rodents in the first house. They also love to see all the skulls of the animals.
And more skulls.
Before we knew it, it was time for our Safari. There were ton of animals out and the kids just love the broken bridge. They had been talking about it coming up all week. After we went over it, my four year old turned to me and said, "Mama, when are they going to fix that bridge, it's always broken" I just laughed. After that we headed to Asia for Kali Rapids and the Jungle Trek. Dennis took all 3 boys on Kali while I shopped a while. I met up with them and we went on the Jungle Trek. The Komodo Dragon was a huge hit, as were the bats.
We headed over to Flame Tree BBQ for lunch and used our Connections vouchers and got plenty of food. The ribs were great! The boys discovered a wild alligator in the lake near the seating. They proceeded on feeding this gator all of our leftovers.
I think this must have been the highlight of their trip. Feeding an alligator! Next time I'll have to make the time to get them to Gatorland.
After lunch we headed to Dinoland and rode the Primeval Whirl, which worked out perfectly in sync with the Triceritops Spin. I took Ryan and Alex on the PW while Dennis took Brandon on the TS and then we swapped. It worked out perfectly. The PW looks much scarier than it actually is. We the headed over to Dinosaur, which we ride everytime and me and the twins sit together with all of our heads buried. Brandon the 4 year old isn't scared at all.
After Dinosaur, Dennis took Ryan on Kali again and I took Alex and Brandon to the Dino Playground. They love the Dino Dig pit and 40 minutes flew by.
We left to meet Dennis in front of It's Tough To Be A Bug. No waiting for this movie! The kids loved this, it was just the right bit scary and funny combined.
I am so anxious about the bee sting that I always sit way forward in the seat. I'm sure it's not so bad, but I just can't make myself lean back. The boys loved the termites leaving the theater part the best! Also when Hopper got eaten by the chameleon (Alex made me add that).
We made our way slowly to the front of the park, stopping at the animals in the Oasis. There were quite a few characters in the entrance pavillion. The boys don't usually get too excited about them, except for Chip and Dale. I think the boys think they are twins. So, we stopped for a photo with them. Chip noticed my pins with him on it and seemed really happy. So we took my photo with them too.
We took the bus back to the Beach Club, and all of us took a swim in the pool. The weather was hot again, it was ice to cool down before heading to EPCOT for the evening.
Alex was excited to go on Imagination again, so we headed to the front of the park. We also did Honey, I Shrunk The Audience, which was better than I remembered. The boys got a huge kick out of this movie! We went over to Innoventions and spent some time in there playing on the video games and looking around. Test Track was a 45 min. wait so we bypassed that and headed back to the World Showcase.
We slowly walked around and found the Fiesta Margerita stand again! The boys were hoping the train in Germany was up today, but it still wasn't working. The Temptations were playing at the American Pavillion. They sounded really good, but we kept going. I used a Connections voucher at the Yakitori House in Japan and got a good deal there. We sat on the steps, ate and watched Illuminations again.
We walked back to the hotel and I did laundry : ( We had rain that night.
Next Up: MK and EPCOT
