Day by day for SSR?

I was curious what you all thought about day by day booking for a 2 bedroom in SSR at the 11 month window. Do you think it is necessary for Early Dec. 2008? or since the resort is so big, can I wait to book all at once at the 11 month window? Thanks!

IMHO, you can wait and make one call.

I have never heard of anyone who didn't get their reservation at SSR if they called when the 11 month window opened. Calling day by day for SSR is not necessary.

IMHO, it is true for Christmas as well.

The only night I would make a special call for (at SSR) is New Year's Eve (which your dates do not include).

We have gone the past three years at New Years. We always book a dedicated two bedroom unit. We call day-by-day to insure our room reservation. It may not be required, but better safe then sorry.

I agree with what CarolMN has posted. I called at 10 months for SSR and got a 2 BR and 2 studios for the first two weeks of December with no difficulty. I don't know about Christmas, but from what I understand the first two weeks are prime DVC time so I would think it wouldn't be a huge deal to call right at 11 months from checkout for Christmas, I wouldn't bother with day by day myself.
