Okay here's the deal....

On our trip in July we stayed offsite as we couldn't get an AP rate and we refuse to pay rack rate. We had a wonderful trip in a 3bed/3bath Windsor Hills townhouse.

We are planning a 2nd trip  as a Xmas present for our family :santa: We want to attenda MVMCP and see all the decorations so staying on-site makes more sense.

Our last two trips though we've either had extra bedrooms (WH and OKW) or a daybed at the BC.

I think this time we'd really like to stay at an MK resort. Do any of those have a daybed? We do not want just 2 beds so not sure what our options are. It is 2 adults/1 child and we need 3 beds some how.

Thanks!

Well, it's not an MK resort -- But there's also Alligator Bayou at POR -- two beds plus a trundle. Just thought I'd throw that out as an option.

Poly daybed is so comfy. My brothers been taking the bed the past 2 trips...i've been stuck with the daybed.

No suggestions, but just wanted to empathize with you. I usually end up with DS7 who not only kicks like a mule, but flips about and slings his arms around. The only time we have been able to comfortably (for me, he's fine) share a bed was at the Hard Rock Hotel with a queen/larger bed. I could push him over to the edge and pile pillows and blankets between us.

when we stay at PC, we take along a sleeping bag. After the first 4 or five slaps or kicks, he gets gently carried to the floor....:)

You can get bunk beds at Wilderness Lodge or 2 doubles plus a bunk at the Fort wilderness Cabins.

If you aren't 5 people in a room the only monorail hotel that you will be guaranteed a daybed is the Polynesian and Contemporary as all the rooms have them. Grand Floridian rooms don't all have the daybeds unless you are a family of 5 then you will get the daybed in the room for sure otherwise it is only a request

If you are asking about this Christmas you better call immediately many resorts are already sold out for many dates in Dec.

We are planning on the 2nd week in December which is supposed to be a slow time. So hopefully that won't be an issue.

Good to know, as the Poly is definitely on our list of possibilities. The other 2 are long shots compared to the others. There is only 3 of us.

Bunk beds... hmmm I hadn't thought of that option. There are 2 adults and 1 teen (will be 14 at time of trip). Would the bunk beds be large enough for 1 of the adults on the bottom and the teen on the top???

I saw the cabins on a Segway tour over at FW. I hadn't given them a consideration as it is really not themed as we prefer. However, it is a close jaunt to the WL. That is a posibility.

I can think of 3:

CR
GF
Poly

They are all GREAT!!

Thank you! I looks like the Poly might be our best option. CR has really never interested me and the GF is too stuffy for us.

I really want a deluxe resort. We use the balcony as an "extra" space when others are sleeping, ect. But thank you for letting me know.

Thank you! DS slept on the daybed at the BC and thought it was fine.

I've done the pillow/sheet trick with DS before as well. However, I'd really like seperate beds. I'm checking out DVC as well so that might also be an option for us.

It's not longer as slow as it used to be. I'd get that reservation as soon as possible.

The only thing/problem with the wilderness lodge day beds is now you have to pay extra for them. It used to be a free option.

A stated the there is not a week in Dec. that is slow anymore. We are going at the same time and I tried to add on a day and couldn't. Many people are coming now for decorations and there is a Disney Fan meet and many other special gatherings.
