Day After Questions

Planned this trip several months ago and was hoping Diagon Alley would be open for a few weeks before we arrived. Have not been to Universal for about 4 or 5 years - HR3 was just opening when we were there last, and the Harry Potter section was opening either later that year or the following year. Staying on-site - so we will have EP, EE and also park to park tickets, but will only be there on 7/9 and 7/10. Our plane arrives the morning of 7/9, so we will not have the benefit of EE that day. Seeing the IOA Harry Potter section will be as important as seeing the new section. We will not have much to go on since the grand opening is the day before we arrive, and that may not be a much of indication how the several days after the grand opening will be like.

Since we can not use the benefit of early entry on 7/9, should we focus on the IOA that first day - wondering what the Harry Potter section in IOA would be like that day? Any chance that once Diagon Alley is open, that they will start EP on Forbidden Journey? I guess if they do it likely will not happen that quickly after the opening of Diagon Alley.

I guess the EE entry policy is not yet set, but we should know by the time we arrive. If our only early entry option on 7/10 is in IOA, I guess we would take advantage of it or should be just wait for the regular opening of UO so we could get to Diagon Alley right away - rather than just spend a very short time in IOA then have to switch to UO. I assuming we would have to leave the one park and enter the other - I would suspect the line for the Hogsmeade Express would be crazy to get over to UO.
