Did any of you have (or are planning to have) a day-after-the-wedding breakfast/brunch/meal in general with your guests?

I LOVE the Attic, and while it'd be way too small for the reception, I love the possibility of having it as a day after the wedding meal for the guests who traveled a ways to see us. Is that possible, and if so do you know how much it costs?

I know food & beverage minimum before 5 is $1,000, but I wasn't sure what the site rental fee is, or if it's even possible to rent it out for something that's not a reception.

Thank you! :goodvibes

Because it's a convention center location, there's no venue-rental fee, just the food and beverage minimum. It is often used for non-wedding functions and would make a lovely spot for a farewell brunch.

We did not have any group functions the day after the wedding because we knew we'd be exhausted and wanted to enjoy sleeping late and lazing around the pool on our first day as marrieds. But if you are up for it, it is definitely a nice thank-you for your guests and a fun way to send everyone off. :goodvibes

I made reservations for our party at O'Hana for breakfast the day after our vow renewal. It was a blast! Everyone paid their own way (actually our guests were sweet enough to pay for us but they didn't have to) I just made the reservations. It was their first time eating at O'Hana at the Poly and it was the perfect setting for us all since our VR's theme was "Hawaiian". Plus the food was delicious!

For our "reception" the day of our VR we treated everyone to dinner at the Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks so much for the info!

Lurkyloo, I just got your book and saw the info on the Attic in there as well - so much help!! :goodvibes

All of our guests stayed the week, so we did something similar two days after. We booked lunch at le cellier. Everyone met there and paid their own way and then most of us toured ws together and watched illuminations that night. It was fun!

We did a farewell breakfast the morning after our wedding at 1900 Park Fare. We paid for our guests of course. We figured it would had been a nice way to end the wedding weekend before everyone left to go back to NY. But being my grandpa died that day and my mom had to leave before the breakfast and go straight to West Palm to be with him, it was hard. But even with that happening, my guests did love it. I went through the restaraunt directly to place the reservations since we had 40 people. We could not all sit together but we were all right next to each other so it worked out fine. Hope this helps.
