We are doing HHN on our first park night (Oct 31st) So we will sleep in and get a late start the following day. What park would work best for a later arrival. No EP :( staying at Cabana Bay.
So far here is my plan:
Sunday Oct 30th arrive, pool time, City walk.
Monday Oct 31st Sleep in, pool time, Get to the park about 330 or 4 for holding area Stay till HHN closes at 1am
Tuesday November 1st Sleep in till we wake up naturally (dont wanna deal with grumpies after a long night) visit parks
Wed ? Parks
Thurs ? Parks
Friday Check out and travel home

I have to leave for some errands but will post later for suggestions

After Hhn is over, there won't be park crowds that week

Hit the parks Tuesday anytime
You have teens with you so you don't have to be next to each other on each ride

Meaning use the SR lines when they are open
You all can meet up once all are off the ride if you all use the SRL

If you are potter fans, do that section first
Those that did EE will have moved on to other rides in the park by the time you get there in Tuesday

Assuming you have p2p tickets you could do partial days in both parks

Do potter in both parks for part of one day and then hit rides the family can do together

Another day do water rides if weather is warm and take in shows in both parks

Last day redo the rides you liked the most

4 in party: 2 adults 16year old girl 14 year old boy.
Rofl I just saw I inadvertently put the party emoji thing somehow. I spelled out party as a word I don't have any clue why it turned into the dancing party emoji thing! I'm not that dorky I promise.
The kids are light Harry Potter fans, watched movies but not obsessed. Gotta watch them again. I'm guessing the park areas take after the movies.
I hope crowds clear quickly after HHN. We went several years back and the beginning of our week was dead but the end was the start of a holiday weekend and it got pretty crowded.
Thanks Macraven, you guys here in the dark side are much friendlier to newbie questions, I really appreciate the help and advice.

If you have any more questions please ask

There are many that are helpful homies that post here and always willing to lend a hand and share their experiences

I'm not a parry hotter fan but I do enjoy some of the live shows at gringotts

The rides at both potter places are fun and worth trying

Do check it out at EE period as there will be less there early morning
