Day After Christmas Sales

I usually don't ever take advantage of the sales after Christmas, but this year I'm going to make a point of dedicating some money for it!

What have you found to be the best sales? Online? In store?

Are there any websites that start leaking the sales like they do for Black Friday? I think I am going to try and get some outside decorations this year!

There aren't really preview sites because it's all clearance, which is going to vary widely by store.

Yeah, they don't generally advertise. The only one I KNOW of and watch out for is Yankee Candle. They have great after Christmas clearance and I always shop online and order candles for next year's holidays/birthdays. A Yankee Candle is always enjoyed no matter what the scent

The day after Christmas isn't much fun any more. There are so many deep discounts prior to the big day that there is little left the day after. I don't ever seem to find any good deals now.

call me crazy, but I stock up on paper products for the whole next year.

I go to walmart at like 6:am and buy an entire cart full of paper plates, paper cups, napkins, sandwich baggies, take&toss etc all for 75% off.

Heck we just opened our last pack of napkins from LAST year !

I buy paper products too. We don't necessarily use them all through the year, but I just throw them in the box with the other Christmas decorations, so we'll have them the next year.

I used to buy Christmas decorations, but I have PLENTY of that now. And I used to be able to find some good toy deals (DD's birthday is two weeks after Christmas, so a lot of times I'd buy accessories for whatever she got for Christmas).

Now I hit the bath/make-up type gift sets to use as party favors for her birthday. A lot of the times, they aren't even "Christmas-themed," but the stores just don't carry them year-round. I got a 6- or 8-pack of Lipsmackers for 90 cents last year. That's cheaper than the price of one in the cosmetics section!

I also go to get paper products and gift sets with lotion and body scrubs, razers and shaving cream, perfumes, etc that I can use year round.

i love to shop the day after christmas and new years day!

New years day is just "whatever" is left but sometimes dicounted to 90% off - i usually get gift wrap/bags - holiday cards - anything i see thats cute! one year Walmart was great the next they had nothing left - but thats our tradition and we always find something.

the day after christmas is great - i usually hit Kohls for nice holiday type ornaments - picture holders etc and i get it for about 75% off and i hold it for the next year to give out to teachers etc.

I also love Pier one - always find great stuff - also i hold onto for the following year as gifts!

Yankee candle - i buy the car scents and use them throghout the year and again put some away for the next year!

I usually place a big order of bath and body works late Christmas night but this year I think I will also go to Target to get Christmas decorations, etc.

Honestly, the deals haven't been as great at previous years. I'm not sure about going to Target. Ours is pretty much picked so unless they get more shipments... The home improvement stores are also pretty empty and they already posted this it is for shipments. Lowes had been emptied pretty much a few days after Thanksgiving.

My son stocks for Target (Chicago suburb) and his and a couple of co-workers' hours were actually cut for next week. The truckloads have been small and apparently don't expect them to get any busier.
