Up early and left WDW with fond memories. We made the trip home OK. The trip home after vacation is NEVER fun. We had some car trouble and were blessed to find a mechanic on Sunday who fixed our minor problem and we were able to continue our trip. Of course, I was a nervous wreck the whole way!! So good to finally get home.
Final Thoughts
Ft Wilderness--We just loved the campground and our cabin. The campground was quiet and relaxing and a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Also lots of activities that DC2 really enjoyed. The cabin was GREAT! The extra room was a luxury and much appreciated over a regular hotel room. Mousekeeping did a great job! We had pretty towel arrangements and some towel animals throughout the week. DC2 also had a washcloth doll and her stuffed animals were always arranged in cute ways. The kitchen was wonderful. So nice to be hot and tired and be able to come back to the cabin and grab a bite to eat. The golf cart, although expensive, was a lot of fun and really helped a lot with getting around.
WDW--What an overwhelming place!! We had a great trip, but were tired by weeks end and just ready to come home. Our usual vacation is to rent a beach house for a week and kick back and do nothing. This trip was quite a change!! We missed quite a few things so another trip to WDW will be in order. There was just not enough time to get everything in. Although it seemed crowded at times, we never really had to wait in lines. I dont know how we could have handled long lines. The weather was wonderful and we feel blessed that Isabel went another way!
BEST TIP--Before our trip, I purchased a tube of 50 glow bracelets from somewhere on the internet for like $13.00. I took 2 or 3 with me everyday and DC2 really liked having them for the dark rides and for shows. This was extremely important after her terror at ITTBAB. Well worth the money!
