The One where we fly home.

The crew:
Myself; K-bug; age 25
Funnyman; my fiancé; age 26
Screamer; Jennifer48 here on the disboards; age 25
BurgerGuy; age 33

We decided to head out at 9:00am, since all the shops at Downtown Disney open at 9:30. We checked out and headed down to get our last Disney fix. We arrived before the shops even opened and got a prime parking spot.
After spending about an hour and a half in the World of Disney store, buying thing that we not only needed- but that we totally could have lived without. We headed to Goofy’s Candy Company to pick up some treats to eat on the plane. I highly recommend the dipped Mickey rice crispy treats. They are delicious, and will definitely cheer up the plane ride home.
Our last stop was Earl of Sandwich, before we admitted to the fact that we must head to the airport. Rental return, check in and everything went with no issues. Our plane was delayed slightly, but the flight was quick and smooth.
We stopped for one last dinner at our local Applebee’s and reminisced about the great trip we had. All of us wished that we were back at Disney World.
It may not have been ‘the trip of a lifetime’ (though it felt like it while we were there) but it is a trip with great friends that the four of us will never forget. Likely all four of us will be there next year, just after Funnyman and I get married, with all our family. We are planning a big trip after our wedding on the west coast of Florida. It won't be the same though. We won't have just the four of us, there will be kids and 'grown ups' (I don't concider myself one). And we won't be able to go around doing completely as we please.
Up next . . . swapping of the nearly 2000 photos we took . . . and then planning the next trip . . . hopefully it is sooner than we think.

Thanks so much for posting your reports! All the fun you were having definitely came through with your written words. :goodvibes

I hate the last day syndrome......don't you? I hope to try the Earl of Sandwich this trip......last year we went and it was FULL and we didnt' want to stick around to long.........thanks again for all your reports and hope you had a good time.....

Last day syndrome is the WORST! BurgerGuy and I actually DID turn around in the Orlando Airport to stay but we knew if we stayed, we'd never see our families again! :earboy2: :rotfl:

Thanks for the great report, Kimberly! Sounds like you guys had a great time. And you're right, it'll probably never be the same again, but every new stage in your life brings the opportunity to enjoy Disney in new and different ways! Just imagine how much fun you'll have bringing your kids in a few years!! :earboy2:

Loves all of your reports - haven't posted on all because I've been reading at work :guilty:
