Friday November 1st:
Since we got in so late the night before, we slept until we woke up which was still fairly early. We should've stayed in bed because we got off to a bad start and it went down hill from there.
I don't recall what was for breakfast...donuts in a box I think. Since our itinerary got off track on Wednesday, we needed to visit MK again at some point so I thought Friday would be better than Saturday. But, since we'd done MK just last night the girls wanted to go to Epcot since we'd hardly spent any time there yet at all. Plus, we had those TT fastpasses to use. So off to Epcot we went.
When we got there, I realized I had left our passes in the safe back at the room.
I had put them there because I didn't need them to enter the party and why carry them and take the chance on loosing them. We got back on the bus and headed right back to AKL. It was now around 11:00 and we were getting hungry again already. I still had a $25 giftcertificate to use before we left so I suggested that we go on to DTD, eat a PH, then catch a bus to The Beach Club and go in there.
We made it to Planet Hollywood okay. We got burgers I think, they were pretty good, but both times I've eaten there it seemed that the buns was kinda stale. The girls enjoyed looking at all the movie stuff. Skye gave one of her pins to the waitress. I don't know what happened to the waitress after that but she disappeared for quite a while. We were finished and ready to head to Epcot. She finally turned up and gave us our check. I gave her the GC & the card.
She was gone forever after that and I was getting aggravated. Jess asked if we could leave and I said, "No." I know I said it in an aggravated voice, but I wasn't aggravated at Jess, I was aggravated at by having to wait so long to pay our check. Well, Jess went off on me. Don't ask me how it went from her "Well, excuse me." to my planning of the trip, but it went there. She said I had everything but when she took a crap planned out...she said this was my vacation and that her & Skye were just props. I reminded her that I tried to get her input in the plan, I even gave her a book to look over and pick what she wanted to do, but all she told me was that she wanted to do it all. I reminded her that I had told her we didn't have to have a plan that we could just play it by ear. But she said she wanted a plan....so I made a plan and wrote it down and gave it to her for her approval...she approved it....I even told her at Applebee's that the plan wasn't set in stone, we could (and did) change it whenever we needed to. She said she'd never do it again and I said, "Don't worry, you won't be asked again." With this she did her famous act of grabbing poor Skye by the hand and walking out of the restaurant...Skye in tears. I waited and waited for the waitress to get back with my card. She finally got there all cheerful. I paid and left.
I found the girls sitting at the AKL bus stop. Jess proceeded to tell me that I didn't have to spend another dime on her that she wouldn't even eat until she got back home.
I asked her if she wanted to take the passes and take Skye to Epcot and I'd go back to the resort...no. We all got on the bus to AKL. I don't recall what I had to stop for when we got there but the girls went on up to the room. When I got there Jess was sitting in the middle of the bed with our airline tickets and on the phone. She slammed the phone down. She had tried to get an earlier flight out, but it would cost them $100 which she didn't have. I said, "So, you want to take Skye to Epcot then?"LOL Skye begged her and she said she would. I didn't want to give her my precious charging card, so I followed them down to the gift shop and cashed a $50 travelers check so that they could get dinner.
They left and I never did make it back to Epcot. We were there for nine days and I only spent 5 hours at Epcot the whole trip. If I had known that was going to happen I would've went when they were at Discovery Cove. I went down later that night and sit in on the African storytelling by the fire, but I couldn't tell you anything about it because my head wasn't there, just my body. After that, I went back to the room, took two Tylonal PM's and went to sleep.
I heard the girls come in, but I pretended I was asleep. All I wanted was to go home and forget the vacation ever happened....I just wanted it overwith.
