Tom and Michael spent the morning at the beach. I felt lazy and stayed in bed and read......hey, it's my vacation!!!!!!

Had a great afternoon to hang around and visit friends/crew and just look around the shops on the ship!!!!

Okay, talent show - well, it was in a word - FABULOUS!
I will come back to this later because I have to talk about the people who came to share their hobbies/talents with us and won't do it until I can give their first names and ages!!!!

Michael wanted to go to the Lab after the show - hey, he did a great job, so why not!!! We had dinner with our dining mates - it was another wonderful evening with friends that felt more like family to us. I miss them so very much!!

Anyway, we didn't get to the Adult Dueling Piano show - President Regina will never let me live this down, I know!!!!! But hey, at least I got to hear Fidelio at Sessions and she didn't!!!! NA NA NA NANANA!

Packed up the suitcases and felt that sadness that comes when you know it's your last night home........

Great trip report Rae - you had a ball. I am really looming forward to the birthday party cruise in 2005 now.

Thanks for writing

Sandy,

Rae and I are so happy to hear that you are "looming" forward to the 50th Birthday Celebration Shrimpfest Cruise in 2005.

What can I say - I get excited thinking about what a fun group this is going to be. At least you caught me and not BD :D

The trouble is, BD, is getting into my head!!! Out I say, Out!!!

As promised - the list of "Rising Stars" at the Talent Show hosted by Fidelio and Anton -

Remember this is NOT a contest but a show of what people can do - sing, dance, play an instrument.....
It is meant to be a supportive forum and not a judging show and all in just good fun for everyone, especially the entertainers!

1) Michael (8) - plays "Yankee Doodle" on piano
2) Courtney (14) dances to "You Don't Know What It's Like to be Me"
3) Lena (19) - sings original composition "I Can't"
4) C.J. (13) - sings "I Won't Be There Tomorrow"
5) Munchie (adult) - plays "Stairway to Heaven" on guitar (lent to him by Lena)

They were all wonderful and very entertaining - it was just a shame that several that signed up didn't show up either because of not being prepared or other plans.

Fidelio was gracious enough to reply to postings about what you need to have prepared ahead of time for the show - I will just mention a few that I can recall.

If you play an instrument other than piano, bring it with you.
If you need music for your playing, bring it with you.

If you use a CD or tape, bring it with you and have it cued up if possible.

If you need props, bring them with you.

Fidelio and Anton graciously have one rehearsal on Thursday 2PM before the Friday night show. You are asked to sign up at Guest Services prior to this rehearsal and come prepared with your instrument/music/CD or tape.

Again, there is NO contest involved, no prizes, medals or accolades given only the applause of the appeciative audience and the satisfaction in saying that you played on the MAGIC!

Of course, bring your cameras - video and still because this is one of those moments......just ask me.....I can't tell you how often we have watched both the rehearsal and show tapes!!!!!!

Fidelio Rocks!
