Day 6
Cast Members:
Me – Amanda
DH – Brian

I woke up early again this morning and grabbed my mug and books and headed down to “my terrace.” It was a bit chilly this morning so Hot chocolate was what I filled my mug with. When I got to my terrace there were some cleaning people out there wiping down the floors and rails. I grabbed a rocking chair and began my morning ritual. After awhile they started bring carts and more people joined the clean up. One of the Mousekeepers told me they were preparing the area for a wedding reception that afternoon. I decided to get out of their way (I had already been there and hour) and went and woke up Brian. We decided to go down to Boma for breakfast. YUMMY! I love the Frunch I must have had about 5 glasses of it. DH did bacon and pancakes for breakfast. I had pancakes, bacon, and fresh fruit. Really good breakfast. We headed up to the room to shower and decided to go back to the Magic Kingdom since we hadn’t done anything in tomorrow land yet or pirates of the Caribbean.

That was the first ride we headed to and we got right on. We got stuck on the ride during “Yo Ho Yo HO a pirates life for me!” hehehe. I loved it. After pirates we went and got a Fast Pass for Splash Mountain and rode Big Thunder Mountain. We headed to the Haunted Mansion and got fastpasses for that and headed to tomorrow land. We took a round on Buzz Light year – we both scored in the range of about 45,000 – DH barely beating me. The wait time for Space Mountain was 60 minutes and we were out of fast passes so we went on Carousel of Progress. This was a first for both of us as it was closed the last time we were here. We both really really liked it. Every now and then one of us will start singing “It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow!” this has taken the place of “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming!”

It is about 1:30 now and we are getting hungry so we headed to Cosmic Rays for some grub. The food here is really great and I loved Cosmic Ray – reminded me of Lorne from the WB series “Angel.” DH had a cheeseburger, I had a hotdog and we split a soda. I like dining inside due to my fear of birds. J

After this it was time for our fastpass at the haunted mansion so we headed there. I loved the Haunted Mansion the first time we rode it…..but this time was a different story………………….

To be continued.

Great trip report ~ Thanx for sharing.

I am enjoying reading your trip reports! By the way, what is the "just keep swimming......" song from? Sorry if this is a dumb question!;)

Hi Alice42 from Alice28! :wave2:

Anyway, "Just Keep Swimming" is from Finding Nemo- Dory sings it as they are swimming the dark crevass to get the goggles.

Loving your trip report!!

More, please. :D

Ahhhhmannnnndahhhh, this is your conscience talking.....aren't you forgetting your friends on the DIS? Don't you have a trip report to finish? They're waiting..........

 ..let's see if that worked!

so we went on Carousel of Progress. This was a first for both of us as it was closed the last time we were here. We both really really liked it. Every now and then one of us will start singing “It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow!”

I just can't keep quiet. We have 3 kids, now aged 16 (son), 14 and 14 (identical twin girls)..and when I told them (over this last 2003 Christmas when we went for a nostalgic few days) that COP was open..the girls broke into a rousing rendition of every single verse of"..."It's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow"!"

After this display I was visibly shaken (it has been several years since we've really done Disney although these kids grew up in the parks for approximately 10 years), and I remarked to Junior-in-high-school son, "...now THAT is scary!"

My wonderfully macho son replied, "No Mom, what's really scary is that I also know every verse!"

They all maintain they love this attraction as well as what is now known as "The Blue Line" or Peoplemover (although to us it will always be the WEDway). These 3 children took their naps on these two attractions as well as Delta's Dream Flight for many years. I got on and simply waved my finger in a circle as I continued to go round and round on these rides as my children slept (when they were1, 1 and 2... 2, 2 and 3...3,3 and 4..and finally 4,4 and 5! We stayed at Fort Wilderness in our RV for weeks at a time...3 times a year or more!

My husband flew down to be with us for weekends and we have SUCH good memories! I wouldn't trade those years for anything! My husband's business kept him so busy during the week we never saw him anyway...and when he came down to Disney...we didn't have to share him!
