AJ (14 year old nephew)
Once again we were up early to hit the buffet then off to the parks! We were at MGM for opening waiting to hit Rockin Roller Coaster. We did this twice then hit the TOT. We then did Star Tours, Muppets, Little Mermaid, and Indiana Jones. The boys really liked Indiana Jones. That surprised me because I walked away thinking, That was really hokey. I was glad they enjoyed it. When I would mention a show that I wanted to see it elicited groans from them but they ended up enjoying all of them. I wasnt very impressed with The Little Mermaid. I had heard so many great things about it and love the movie but I thought the show was just so so.
We had a PS for 50s Prime Time. They had a big crowd waiting to eat but we didnt have to wait too long. I cant remember which brother we had (I think it was Steve) but he didnt seem to really be on with us. He paid a lot of attention to another group of about 15 that was there and seemed to have fun with them so I dont know if they were just taking up too much of his time for him to be able to interact with us very much. The food was Ok but I thought it was a good value for the money. We had done most everything we wanted to do it the park so we headed back to the hotel for my daily nap!
My son swam everyday so he just woke me up when he was ready to go back to the parks. This day he ended up taking a nap as well so we didnt wake until 7:00. Because the night was mostly shot we decided to just head over to MK for SpectroMagic and the Fireworks. We snacked on a turkey leg and found a great spot right in front of Liberty Tree Tavern. The parade was magical. We wandered over to the Haunted Mansion. I think it is so much better at night! We did that then went over to Fantasyland to watch the fireworks. After the fireworks we decided to take it easy and let all of the others fight to get out of the park. Around 10:45 we started making our way to the front. I got some great pictures of the Castle at night. I think MK is so neat at night! When we got up to Main Street we found Chip and Dale and Pluto. We got pictures with them then made our way to the monorail. We hit the trams to the parking lot around 11:15. It was just nice to take it easy and not be going commando. I started to feel a little depressed knowing that I only had one more day at Disney.
