Chris & Corey went on the Supreme Scream several times in a row because there was no one in line...they didn't even have to get off the ride. We've been to Knott's several times over the years, and we have never had a day as nice as this one. Everything was a walk on.
Meanwhile, Brandon was riding his own version of the Supreme Scream.
We met up with Shelli's family again. They had their pictures taken in frontier time clothes. I asked Shelli what was with the look on her face. She said that she was trying to look like the "rich snob" of the town.
We rode the Log Ride several times that day, went on the Calico Mine Ride, the kids did the Boomerang and some of the other wilder rides. We ended our stay on the Sierra Sidewinder at the entrance to Camp Snoopy. This rollercoaster just opened last summer so it was new to all of us. The cars spin as you zip around the track. Everyone loved this one and best of all, Brandon could ride it too.
The Medievil Dinner Show was right down the street from Knott's. The show started at 7:00 and we got there around 6:00. I tried taking pics of this show, but because it was dark inside the building, none of them turned out except this one.
As we entered the building, we were given our Green crowns and told that we were rooting for the Green Knight. Craig purchased 8 green flags for us to wave while cheering our Knight on.
While waiting for the show, we bought some drinks in souvenier goblets and watched several people get knighted by the King. We were called into the hall where we were to be seated by the color of our Knights. There was a big deal made of which color deserved to go first. They called in Red first and while deciding which color should go next, Craig, being the artist that he is, yelled out "blue and yellow make green" meaning we should go next. Everyone in the room burst into laughter and the man making the decision of who would enter next said, "that's pretty smart for a barbarian."
After we were seated at our table, our server began bringing our dinner out. First came drinks...mugs of beer or pop for each person (1 refill came with the price of the dinner). Next came a gourd of soup (tasty, but needed salt), then a plate with 1/2 chicken, a BBQ rib, 1/2 baked potato, garlic bread and some kind of pastry for desert. Everything was eaten by hand...no silverware at the table. After all...we were supposed to be at a tournament during the Medievil Times. The food was pretty good.
The tournament started as we were eating and when our Green Knight appeared we cheered and waved our flags with the best of them. At one point, our Knight threw me a flower. How gallant of him.
Our Knight made it through all the way til the end, but the White Knight ended up being the champion. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed this show...it was one of the top highlights of our vacation. We had such fun.
So that ends day 5 of our vacation. Next up: 3 more days at DL/DCA
