family - me - aged 33
Steve (dh) - aged 37
Billy (ds)- aged 9 going on 90
Jack (ds)- aged 22 months
Daniel (dn) - aged 11 - just tagging along
Well jack must be going backwards this morning, he woke at 5am but it was Steves turn to get up with him so I didn't complain, just rolled over and went back to sleep till 9am, so I was nice and refreshed when I got out of the shower
steve looked a bit tired, god knows why (lol)
Left the villa at 10am and headed towards Epcot, had something to eat as soon as we got there but they had stopped serving breakfast at 11am and when we looked at our watch it was 11.05am so we ended up having burger and chips for breakfast - I enjoyed it though even though I said I wasn't that hungry, I didn't leave alot, if you know what I mean
Billy and Daniel wanted to go the Innoventions so we let them go on there own, Billy thought this was brilliant, no Mum or Dad with him
I told him not to get to used to it, as it was only because he was with Daniel and he was under STRICT and I mean STRICT instructions NOT TO WALK OUT OF THERE ON HIS OWN OR WITH DANIEL AND TO WAIT FOR US TO COLLECT HIM and NOT TO TALK TO ANYONE, his reply innocently was "can i talk to Daniel?" maybe I said it to strictly, but we soon sorted out what I meant.
Me, Steve and Jack watched the fountain dance to the music which Jack loved, we had a quick cup of coffee then went to collect the kids after about 40 minutes, we headed for Spaceship Earth, this only took 5 minutes to get on, and Jack seemed to like this ride, I think its brilliant how its all done and makes you think about things, well it did me anyway... after that we went to meet up with Phil, Paula and Sara and headed towards Test Track, we decided to do a babyswap here so Daniel went on with Phil, Paula and Sara, so Steve would come on with me, Billy decided he didn't want to go on it and stayed with us, it took a good hour for them to return, then it was our turn
Steve had been looking forward to this ride for ages, as last time we came in 1999 it was due to be open but had been delayed with one thing or another, well we sat down and waited in anticipation...........only to be really DISAPPOINTED
What a complete and utter let down, well that was our opinion on it anyway, and we wouldn't wait an hour again to go on it thats for sure.
After the let down we went to Honey I Shrunk the Audience and seeing as I had been on it before I had my feet up in the air so I wouldn't feel the air on my feet thinking it was the mice, but Paula and Sara screamed their heads off, I thought it would be cruel to let them know what was going to happen (lol) and let them experience it first hand instead
Jack loved it as well, he's not even 2 yet so being a loving mother which I am I thought I would put my hand over this eyes when the snake bit came but he soon pushed it out of the way, he didn't want to miss any of it
he's a brave little thing, tough as old boots like his mum.
We went to see the Living Seas after this and Jack and Billy loved all the different fish swimming around, we also got to see the manatees which are my favourite, I do feel sorry for these guys, they always look so sad to me and theres not many left in the world and they're such harmless creatures, I just love them, so I was there for a good 20 minutes just looking at them while the others looked at different things, I was quite happy where I was.
We let Billy and Daniel go back to the games on their own, with the same instructions of course, Phil, Paula and Sara went to look around the world showcase, me and steve had decided to do this part of Epcot when we come the next time so we went to have a coffee and a cigerette.
Had a look around the shops and everything to do with Mickey (which is quite alot) Jack goes over to touch, didn't buy anything though, still got plenty of time for that. Collected the kids and headed for the car after about an hour. Epcot is great for adults but the world showcase just doesn't entertain the kids so we headed up to IDrive to get Steve some new golf shoes which he needs and are also his birthday present (october 5th) bit late I know.
Got some up the Belz for $49.99 Nike ones as well, bargain, you wouldn't get them back home for less than £70.00 so I'm glad I waited to get them. We dripped Daniel and Jack off them back at the Ramada, Steves family offered to have Jack overnight for us seeing as we are swimming with the dolphins tomorrow, gives us a bit of a break as well even though I miss him when I haven't got him, I do appreciate the rest.
Met up with the others at Tony Romas at 8.30pm, I absolutely love this place the food is so scrummy and the price is really reasonable.
for 3 courses and plenty to drink the bill only came to $160.00 for the 6 of us, it did feel strange though not having jack with us but very relaxing
Headed back to the villa and got in about 11.30pm and straight to bed for a good nights sleep
tomorrow - Discovery Cove
