Started off the day with an early breakfast to take advantage of early opening at Magic Kingdom. The characters were out in force, Daisy, Cruella, Rafiki, Timon, and many others. DD 7 had a blast gathering up authographs for her book. After this went to FantasyLand and went on Peter Pan, Snow White and of course,
It's a Small World. Around this time, we started realizing how quiet the park seemed. Should have been inudated with other guests by now. Next off to Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain (DD 7 refused to go on, was scared after Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure in Universal so we gathered fast passes for Big Thunder Mountain. Next it was off for fast passes to Jungle Cruise and rode Pirates of Caribbean (walked right on). Saw many characters along the way Peter Pan, Smeed, Jafar and the genie from Aladin. After Jungle Cruise we caught a bit of show in front of Magic Kingdom. Then to lunch, can't remember name of restaurant, just off Main Street heading into tommorrowland. But we always stop here for great sandwiches and ice cream. Before we leave we check our group shot which came out great. YEAH, finally a picture of all of us. Leaving Magic Kingdom needed to take one more look, there is something truly magical about this place.
Next we headed on Monorail to Epcot. Made a quick detour at TTC to see if my sunglasses had been turned in, no luck)
. Once in Epcot we walked onto everything. In fact, when walking over to Journey into Imagination we saw no one. Very spooky, no one on line in front or behind us. Saw Honey I Shrunk the Audience - what a great movie!! Then DD 7 and I made a detour back to the Wilderness Lodge for a much needed nap (she was a real trouper keeping up with us) while DH, DS16 and DD 14 stayed for dinner and illuminations. Started packing while she slept and awoke her to grab a quick bite at Roaring Forks which we took down to beach to watch the parade on lagoon.
Here ends another magical vacation!! Delayed flight on the way home and the housekeeping service at the Portofino (Universal) were the only negatives. Truly did love that front of line access at Universal for resort guests. Maybe Disney can work out something similar for their on site guests!!!!
