Day 3 – Monday whining, crying, what fun!

We woke up and didn’t get to the MGM ‘til after opening time. We were a little tired after last night but were willing to see what we could do. It was hot and humid. Worse than in NH. It started out bad with Elizabeth pouting and upset. I hate the attitude she gives off and she was being so rude to everyone. DH talked with her a few times and she stated that she wished she could go home. By the time we hit a couple of rides she was crying. We started off at the Tower of terror and I told the kids that DH and I would go get Fastpasses for Rock N Roller Coaster and then we could all go on but when we got back to ToT, they were all gone. They took Brenden with them and I knew he would be petrified. I waited impatiently at the exit, never even went out and told my DH that I wasn’t on the ride. I was so upset to the point that I started to cry. Not just that I was afraid he was scared with no parent to cling to, but I was mad that they didn’t wait for me and I knew I wasn’t going on alone and waiting in the line again. My DH has since learned how to get Fastpasses alone. When they got off Brenden was smiling and told me the ride was “Super Cool” but the look on his face in the picture showed me how scared he was. He said he never wants to do the ToT again though. We went over to RnR and all took our turns. Uncle and family had finally gotten to the park and wanted to meet up with us there. DH gave him directions to get to the ride and they waited for everyone to take their turns (we used babyswap so we wouldn’t have long lines twice). It was a great ride. Slower than I would have thought, but still good. We wanted to head to another ride but Uncle and family wanted to eat. It was noon but we had PS’s at 2:10 but he wanted to eat now. So it was the first of many times we would sit down and wait for them. We decided since we were there, we would get the free ice creams I had a coupon thing for. Explanation: Upon entering the park I immediately went to guest relations and asked for a birthday pin for Garren and Danny. The CM’s in there were so sweet. We got to talking about how warm it was and all the things that had gone wrong so far but we were trying to start some good things that day. I also mentioned how my DH insisted that this was a once in a lifetime trip cuz he had no plans of coming back. The Cm who had disappeared out back came back and handed me two envelopes with Garren and Danny’s names on them. It was birthday cards signed by Mickey and the gang! Pixie Dust! The other CM started to write something out and when she handed them to me, she explained that they were good for one free ice cream for everyone in my party. More Pixie Dust!

We were deciding on our Ice cream and Danny couldn’t have any and DH said he didn’t want one. He was going to share Garren’s. I got all the ice creams and handed two out to strangers who looked hot on the way back to the table. They were grateful and maybe I made their day a little better. DH was mad when he found out I gave away two, he wanted one. I reminded him he said he didn’t and he was still mad. We went and got on The Great Movie Ride. The line was long and by the time I got to the door to see the first screen, I was done. I grabbed Garren and said I would go change him, in reality though, I was freaking out cuz I accidentally forgot my camera on my stroller out in the open and I didn’t want it to disappear! I got outside to find my camera there and changed Garren. We hung around a bit, bought water and decided to check things out. I went over to the hat and found characters doing pictures. So we got in line and saw, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy with Pluto. Garren wouldn’t go alone so I ended up in most of the pictures. We were still waiting for the GMR to end so we just played. It seemed to take forever but I got some cute pictures. We headed to 50’s Prime Time for our lunch and waited for at least 45 minutes even though we were on time for our PS’s. DH was getting upset that it took so long and everybody was hungry but I wasn’t about to miss out on this restaurant and leave as they suggested. WE all got seated (all 11) at the same table. It was a cute corner booth with two table pushed right to it. I got the pot roast and DH and Katie got fried chicken. Alyson got chicken nuggets and Brenden got Mac n cheese. They were all good but I loved the pot roast. I could have eaten that all week and not got sick of it. We all decided no desserts even though we all loved having to look through the viewer to see them. The waitress brought the check and when I said I would take it, Kim said that our Uncle was paying. I don’t know if it was his generosity or the fact that his wife ordered a $16 salmon plate and only ate 3 bites. Our Uncle didn’t like the bossy waitress at first with the no elbows on the table but once I explained it all, he didn’t mind anymore and played along.

After lunch we tried one more ride but then everyone was too hot and we left the park. The kids were happy to go back to the hotel and swim for a while. We all went in the big pool and everyone tried the slide except for Kim and our Aunt. It was a bit bumpy on my backside so I only did it once, but DH kept going. Brenden is afraid of deep water so he only likes kiddie pools. He kept calling it the “cat” pool, so Garren called it the “meow” pool. It gives me a chuckle thinking about it now. I got sick of swimming after a few hours and told the girls to come upstairs. We ate dinner from the food we had in the room. It was a boring night mostly but we all got to bed early. Had to be up and out early. Breakfast with Donald tomorrow!

:grouphug: You poor thing. I hope things start to turn around for you. Also, I hope this NOT a once-in-a-lifetime trip as your DH threatens! LOL!
