well this is were matt was irrated,

i expected the breakfast to be busy, and it was, but matt hated it, the crowds, the rudeness of some of the people, just pushing past the kids, breakfast was a good choice, and steve there was even bran flakes, but the amount some people take, well it was damn right greedy,we got to see minnie and pluto as cowboys so kids had photo's taken again. we were happy and fed, so headed to the park at opening time, this is where it goes down hill and fast, the weather was mild, again only fleeces worn, the bus queue was busy, and the crowd just don't believe in lines at all, it was chaos, we would have walked but with libby walking all day we thought to take the bus, anyway we headed to the disney park again, the queues weren't bad, we saw minnie, mickey, eeyroe, tiger, mary poppins, got there autographs and photo;s, by the 2nd character we were a dab hand at pushing the kids in, as everyone else did.

we headed for small world, no queue so done that twice, then headed for peter pan's, again only about 5 mins queue, the kids got one that twice, emma by this time asleep, also done dumbo, teacups, carasouel, alas snowwhite and pinnochio were shut, tried to get tickets for lion king but sold out, we wandered around central plaza hoping to see donald duck for jake, but he didn't show, despite being told by city hall he would, so jake was crying, then headed for lunch, had a lovely lasagne and the kids had pasta at pizza belle, it was expensive, but food in the parks are and we were prepared for this.
After lunch went to do btm, jake and libby rode this with matt, i stayed in the playground with emma, the kids loved it, had a stroll around adventure land, then went to go on pirates of the carribean, again the kids done this with matt, i stayed in the caves with emma, then the kids got to play being pirates pirate: they had fun, we got the train and went around the park, this was great, got off at main street, matt was mad as emma dropped her minnie mouse figure, i went to pick it up and this little french girl got there before me, now we don't speak much french, but i tried to get it back of her, her parents well were so rude, saying her's, and i was saying no, ours, emma was crying, another english family saw what was happening, adn tried to help, but no way were they going to give it back, it was only 5 euros, but it was principle, but alais we didn't get it back, so we brought another one.
anyway saw the parade again, which was great, but matt was still mad from the train incident. we wandered around the villlage, and went to cafe mickey's for tea which we booked at 6pm, well that was an experience i will never forget, the kids got to dance with mickey, minnie, eeyroe, tiger, pluto, goofy, it was a magical experience, the food was great, yummy fish and chips for me, and matt had the ribs which were great to, the kids had fish adn chips and all enjoyed, we didn't do dessert as the kids were getting tired, and they aren't big pudding fans, but they did look yummy, we had been in cafe mickeys till 8pm, we decided to walk back as it was a lovely evening, got back to the hotel, had a quick drink and collapsed into bed.

Shame about the train incident, but it sounds like there were still some high points to your day - particularly Cafe Mickey. :goodvibes

Cafe Mickey is wonderful isn't it - I can't believe that you lost Emma's toy is such a horrible way, you did well with your photos and autographs -apart from the parade I didn't see Mary Poppins in the park at all. Matt obviously enjoyed the rides :goodvibes

I can't blame the little girl, but her parents :furious:
Glad that you still had a wonderful day :goodvibes

Another great day (apart from that horrible incident with Emma's Minnie.) :goodvibes

What a shame about the Minnie toy:(
I know that the scrum for the buses is horrible! Last year the park was much busier and the buses were heaving. Quite literally, if the doors had come open while moving, people would have fallen straight out. It is not nice to be squashed amongst so many people when you have little children with you. This was part of the reason we decided to DLH this year - waiting for buses and then having to barge your way on to them it not part of the DLP experience that we wanted to visit again.

I am glad you enjoyed Cafe Mickey. I hear so many positive things about it - but sadly our food was not really very enjoyable and our waiter not particularily good. But like you, we stayed as long as we could and managed to see two sets of characters.

And I just realised - we were there the same night and the same time!!!! So you would have got to see the same characters as us? Eeyore, Tigger, Minnie, Mickey, The Sherriff, Friar Tuck, Goofy, Pluto (two more I have forgotten). What floor were you on?

quack yep we were on the top floor,.the area by the wall, not the window side, it was a great seat, funny how we passed each other without knowing.

I would of snatched it back if it was possible. How rude. You wouldnt see this in WDW. Everyone are ok and they understand lines except the mexicans and brazillians, but we dont go peak time anymore so we never experience that anymore.

We are going to DLP in Oct for 3 nights and perhaps a day trip in May. My friend warned me that nobody listens to lines and it really is manic when you want your childs photo with a character. I am well prepared.

We too were on this side !!! We were sat with our backs against the dividing 'wall' that separates the window side of the top floor with the side that we were both sat on. Amazing to think we were 'that' close to you. Our waiter was 'Junior'

quack i didn';t get our waiters name, as the kids were so busy with the characters, we sat directly opposite you then, you may have seen me taking emma down to change her nappy at around 6.30 and she was the one screeching and crying when the characters came out.we have some pics of us in cafe mickeys i will upload later

I had just arrived at 6.30. I do remember one little one crying and having to be held when some of the characters arrived. I have been searching through our pics to see if I can find you in the background! LOL

quack he was wearing a camel colour top, libby was dressed as snowwhite, she was the one so excited, and jake wouldn't put his captain hook top on, but he was the one dashing around thinking he had to be pushy, until we told him otherwise, if i know how i will upload the pics.
