Alarm was set for 7:00am, up and showered and out the door for 7:30am. I am impressed. Headed up I4 then turned along Sand Lake Road, then finally down I-Drive. We finally found out target of a Ponderosa for out breakfast. One excellent breakfast later, we headed to Seaworld. Parked up for 9:00am. We changed out vouchers for tickets and then we headed for the first show of the day the Key West Dolphin Fest. The warm up man had his work cut out for him, it might have been because it was early in the day, but we were not the most responsive audience. The dolphins impressed the children no end. We then headed to the Shamu Adventure show. Wow, can the big Killer Whale shift some water?! Suzanne and myself cannot remember the Killer Whales ten years ago being able to get so much water so far up the stadium seating. We had no shortage of people who gladly sat in the Splash Zone. Needless to say we were nice and high up the stadium, did not want to put the children off, now do we?!
Shamu’s Happy Harbour trapped us for quite some time. I only wished we had brought the children’s swimming things. I was glad because already this was turning into one of the hottest days so far this holiday. Our next ride was Wild Artic. This ride is way to rough and jerky (I fly in helicopters a lot, it come with the job) in my humble opinion. I always feel rough on simulator rides. When the ride finished, Kerri turned to me and said “ I feel sick”. Ah, a kindred spirit. It was okay she wasn’t and neither was I. We saw the famous fast asleep Polar Bear. :D
We wandered around the park, 93Deg C!!! we saw on a thermometer. Everyone was melting in the heat. We looked in at the Dolphin Nursery, which had Kerri going “Aww” at the very young Dolphins. Refreshments were obtained at the Waterfront Sandwich Grill. Suzanne and myself have the double bacon cheeseburgers, which I reckon could keep you going all day. Kerri had a more manageable burger. Don’t worry Liam had his chicken strips. Penguin Encounter was next and it was a little bit smelly. Liam wanted to go on Journey to Atlantis as soon as he saw it. The wait time was 55 minutes and I would have expired in the heat by then, but wait look at the wait time for the Kraken….only 10 minutes. Suzanne being the very, very nice person that she is, said that I should go on. So not waiting for a change in mind, I ran off at top speed. Wow, what a coaster!!!!! After the initial climb it just dose not let up till you stop at the end. Brilliant ride. With wobbly legs I got off to find that Suzanne did not want to go on, as the children were getting restless (That’s me owing one free coaster ride to Suzanne).Just for Kerri, we headed off to the touchy-feely attractions of Stingray Lagoon and Dolphin Cove. Both of these became holiday firm favourites with the children (we like them too). :D
We decided that we were all far too fried with the heat so we left Seaworld for the day. We stopped at the new Publix, just south of Seaworld on I-Drive for provisions and a coolbox for the room. When we got back to the hotel we cooled on in the room before hitting the pool till 9.00pm. Bryon, our DVC guide about arranging a meet and a tour of the Beach Club Villas on Thursday, had called us. We called his back and set a time for the meet. Another late dinner at the Food Court and then lights out for 11:30pm.

Tommorrow – IOA (or it’s far too hot for me).

I love Seaworld. Spending time with the dolphins was one of the highlights of my holiday. :)

Thanks for posting. Don't make us wait so long for the next installment.;)

Seeing as how you've got the King of the Chicken Strip Eaters - we've got the queen;)

We love Sea World, it's such a relaxing, pretty park to take your time over. Shamu - how much better can it get than watching the Shamu Rocks America show:)

We must have been lucky in the past because the polar bear was always awake and playing with his toys:D .

Glad you enjoyed your day:Pinkbounc
