We're WDW veterans of several trips but this was first DVC trip.
I was up at 3 am for a 9am flight. DW had to be there early. She's nervous about security and missing flight. Both sons did the paper route beginning at 3am. Woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. I was worried they'd be late getting back due to it being a Sunday route. They got back in plenty of time and DSIL was right on time too. We were off to airport by 6am and very early for flight. Had traditional airport McDonald's breakfast.

We had a funny/joke telling/ singing flight crew on the way down. I remember the flight attendant singing "Rolling Down the Runway" to the tune of Proud Mary from CCR. The crowd clapped along as we made our way down the runway. ME was great. Very easy to get on and we were on our way. No bags to gather and they were very friendly. We stopped at the Poly and WL before making our way to BLT. First time using ME and we'll use again. If we need a car for off-site excursions, we'll rent mid-way through trip.

We had a bit of a wait at check-in but CM's were nice while we waited.
You check-in at CR lobby. Here we are in the lobby waiting for our new home.

We had a young lady checking us in with another CM helping her. She was in training. She was very nice and they were both helpful. We requested even number room with higher floor. We were hoping for a lake view that also could see Castle from our deck. We got room 7544 on fifth floor. They said they would try to change if they could. It was about 12:30pm and our room would be ready about 4pm. We learned we could purchase our park tickets right then and there so we did. We got 9 day park hoppers for kids and 2 annual passes for DW and I. ;) Gave them our cell numbers and off to MK for a stroll.

We headed straight for HM and stopped for a Dole Whip on the way. It was my first. It was so HOT and the ice cream was melting like I've never seen ice cream melt. FAST. Just like a trip to WDW. It goes extremely fast. Have you noticed?
Fire ant bite my DSIL while eating Dole Whip. Ouch! :scared1:
Cool new line attractions at HM. Also loved the new ghost tricks at end of ride. I got the same ghost trick 3 times I rode HM.

Part two of my dinner. I always hit salads first. Love them. This is second course after salads. Man, I loved the beef at WDW. So tender !!!

By this time, it's 5pm and no call for our room being ready. I'm getting nervous that they've lost my cell number. We've taken our time with Pooh and we're anxious to check in our room. Just then, I get the text. Yippeee!!!:woohoo: Check please!

Walk back to our new home. DS, DSIL and I walk back. DD, DW and DS take monorail. We beat them back but they're not far behind. Remember, CR is first stop from MK on Monorail.

Room is AWESOME. Suite I should say. We end up with room 7544. It's on 5th floor and it's the same floor as Sky Bridge to CR. Very cool. We get marina view which is disappointing at first but it's a beautiful view anyone would kill to have if they didn't know MK was on the opposite side. No worries. We had plenty of chance to view Wishes from Sky Bridge and TOTWL. :yay:

View from our room out the living room picture window.

DS1 on pull-out in living room. He never pulled it out the first day. He finally woke up about 11pm and was hungry. Went down to Contempo Cafe for a late night sandwich.

I was already missing the Mexican pavilion Margarita. Being honest, this one was not nearly as good as Mexican pavilion Margarita's. But what is better than a Mexican pavilion Margarita?
DW had a Pear/Sky Vodka Martini. She likes.

Headed back to room hoping to watch Yanks/Red Sox on Sunday Night Baseball. TV won't work. Tried to fix but I was worried I'd drop the whole entertainment cabinet. Too tired to watch in other room and besides I figured I'd be asleep in 10 minutes. I was right. My time clock is out of whack and I wake up at 3 am thinking it's time for EPCOT.

Day 2 next - EPCOT

Great! I'm looking forward to reading and seeing more!:yay:

Have you been to La Cava in Mexico? Those are the best margaritas on property, and you can get them to go!!

How fun is this! Thank you!

Loving your TR so far! Our trip in June was an early morning flight also, up at 2:30 am for 6:00 am flight. We had to wait for the McDonalds in the airport to open for breakfast....LOL! We also stayed at BLT for the first time with pretty much the exact same view! As well have two teenage kids, 14 and 16 with nearly identical pictures with Piglet.

Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

The pictures of the "kids" sleeping really made me laugh. Boy, did THAT look familiar!

I've enjoyed reading your report!
Have great fun making memories.

We stopped in for a minute and the bartender gave us a sample. We intended to go back but never made it. Will have to be another time. Nice to know we can take to go.

Way way better than the margaritas from the stands outside of Mexico!
