WEll we left our house at 2pm to drive 1 1/2 hours to Providence RI. We checked into the Shereton - very nice rooms. (JUST DON'T TOUCH THAT BOTTLE OF WATER KIDS at 3.50!)
Hotel restraunt seemed pricey and didn't have many options so we decided to go find somehting else - hey this is an airport area there have to be some chain restraunts around-
6 of us in our Impala and off we go -
Hooters - um nope - not good for the girls to see
BK - no we want real food
Friendlies - like I said we want real food
pizza joint - nope
on theres somehting up ahead - nope closed
oh over there - nope closed.
ok back we go to Friendlies for the MOST DISGUSTING experience of our trip! The food was slippery with grease - they screwed up my order and I ended up with a salad instead of a chicken wrap! The server was Horrible!
Back to the hotel
Swimming in the very dark area pool! DH asked them to turn up the loghts they turned on one!
good thing we were the only ones in there!
Then to bed early!
Never got our wake up call! Good thing I couldn't sleep!
Shuttle service was fine.
The lines at the airport were not!
Everyone made it through security -
except me
seems my little black shoes have metal in them!
We got everthing on the plane - buckled everyone in- were taxying down the runway then -
the flight attendent informs us that DS car seat needs to be in the window seat! Much to the dismay of DD! We struggle to adjust everyone then DS falls asleep for the ride!
(they told DD they would make it up to her with a goody bag and she could go sit with them - and free drinks for us - they didn't! Not that we tried ordering drinks at 8:30 am!)
Off the plane - retrieve luggage and then down the escalator to get our mini-van from Dollar- yes down an escelator with ALL THAT STUFF and DS in stroller!
But we made it to wait in a 20 minute line! Got our 199 a week van -
it was a Grand Caravan - greenish color - 10k miles! BEAUTIFUL!
WE are on our way! HMMMM I fell a grumply in my tummy we can't check in for a while so lets go find food first!
Don't know how exactly we got there but had a great meal On the way out I saw the grocery store at the back of the plaza so I decided to grab a case of water - a bottle of apple juice - some mountain dew and some coors light and bacardi breezers with a styrophome cooler (about $40 altogether).
In our very CROWDED van we are on our way to the lodge!
Oh I see a sign! Turn that way!
HHMMM that sign only said Fort Wilderness - thats the camp ground - must have a seperate exit - must be the next one -
hmmm- nope can't be this far -
utho-
I think we were suppose to take that one!
Here we go!
Around again! Everybody scream and get excited again when we go through the entrance to the kingdom again!

and there is the entrance to WILDERNESS LODGE! WE ARE HERE!
